21 inch bby oval racer build

hi i am new to this boat world lol.. but i sure am not new to rc though.. i have been racing rc nitro and electric cars for years now..i went to a swap meet and found some person selling a nice bby mono hull.. i though i might pick it up and start a new project..
here are some picks of it now that i have started.. i put a piece of balsa wood as a servo mount..

i am starting on the hardware right now.. im thinking doing all custom hardware.. i got the moter mount done.. i used a orion 12 turn for the holes. but im not sure im gonna use that moter..

lmk if im doing anything wrong..
i have been browsing this forum and others for a long time now so im pretty sure i know what iim doing..lol

i got a prop on ebay with a flex shaft. so i started to build around it.. i got the custom made rudder and mount. and i got a stinger off ebay.

here are some pics of the progress

then i got more wholes done and sealed the extras with white caulk...
and i got some trim tabs made to fit the original wholes..
i got everything mounted and it looks killer

                      Cool rig.
The finishing touch would be to back the truck and trailer down to the water, float the boat off, and then blast around for a few laps, followed by driving the boat back onto the waiting trailer.
                      Lets see anyone topping that.

i got 2 rods.. on is bendable aluminum and the other is brass and a lil bigger and not bendable..

then i decided that i should put the thiner aluminum into the bigger brass one.. i drilled the aluminum one out so the whole will match the brass one then i glued them together

then i cut it and put tubing on it..
