Hey builders...I finally found my thread... yep Ive beenn back at getting this thing done... was planning on painting sooner but my position was eliminated at work... Image that after 22.5 yrs.... Seeing I wasn't able to paint I figured do the electrical... I originally had only one rx pack in radio bow but I am now converting to two packs. 1 pack just for the servo and a second pack to handle the rx..... I have a lil digi voltmeter that reads pack voltage... when I was getting the steering set up I saw that the meter would peg into the red if I turned steering very far or fast. This got me thinking I could drop my voltages too low for the rx circut.... Ok I split them up...better than getting to the lake and find out..
I am also working on where the steering rods pass thru rear bulkhead this is where I plan to seal out the water. I will get back to post pics soon, I am way behind..
thanks guys.... Next I will be asking for prop advice....442 or 447 possibly cut down some ??? Happy boating lonewolf

What kind of ESC, props rotating in at the top, D wind motors about 5 or 6 deg. timing but check temp.

Well builders I feel more confident of the esc programming.. Gonna start with lowest timing unless someone has better info reguarding this set up... Now for the weather to warm up so I can get in garage and get my compressor working up to speed and get a few projects painted up....

I will also be using telemetry to hopefully get some data about my runs.... I will be recording rpms and temp. hopefully this will guide me in good directions for fine tuning.

Well builders I have tackled an issue that has been slowing me down for a while, keeping the water out....After looking at the various parts included with my boots I came up with an idea.
My issue was that the control rods dont move in a straight linear path but more of an arc...making some of the supplied parts useless.... So make my own ....I dug around and found some samples of modeling board....Heck it worked.....pics....
Some may wonder what the brass tube is for....well the tube lets the control rod slide thru putting less wear and tear on the boots...the movement of the rod is more than the boot would allow and would quickly tear somewhere....I have completed most of the wiring just have to finish the telemetry... Gonna monitor rpms and rx pack voltage....and maybe temp... Now for weather to warm up so I can paint....snow in the forecast here so may be a while longer....

Lookin good, I'm trying to figure out what color that is. I know it's some kind of blue but it looks like it fades lighter and darker.

I started with a 2 part white poxy primer then I used auto air airbrush paint the light blue is a candy brite blue mixed with a clear basecoat. Once I got the base coat done I went went just the candy brite blue then overlaid the outer edge with candy purple. then a few coats of 2 part clear coat.. did a wet sand then 3 more clear. Now all is left is the final wetsand and polish. Next is to clean the hobby room before I can bring it back up...Damn I can make a mess...lmao.... BTW the dark shadows are reflections of the trees ...
