Thanks guys I am charging some packs now so I can eat out there I took of the past two days to make a four day weekend so I can get some nice boating time in. Today I will try to run a gps on the outside of hull as it will not work inside the hull also does anyone know how a twin setup will work with a eagle tree only on one motor ? I assume it will take some power from the motor it's hooked up to but the question is how much power will it really rob from that one motor

Advice huh,we can start with :DON'T PUT A GPS OUTSIDE THE HULL(go ahead, ask). Unless you mean a Eagle tree unit as I do I just conformal coat one and run it outside.I have not noticed any discernable power losses. There is enough fighting for power from side to side in L or R corners that I wouldn't worry about a little logging.

Hey shawn I ran her yesterday but the water was way too rough for any high speed passes but I managed to pull just over 85 not even opened up. I am going to stop by the lake in a little in hope its much better today than yesterday. I did have a good blow over yesterday.

Wow that was a good one,all is well I take it.So what you got set up for an outside GPS? Hopefully not a personal one with duct tape.

I tried the et first but it takes too long to register inside the hull at speeds in excess of 85 it covers way to much distance for the et to catch up so then tried a garmin etrex in and out. Inside it doesn't wrk at all on the outside it wrks fine. Do you think if I spray the et gps unit with liquid ekectrical tape or some 3m potting compound it will b fine on outside of hull

I used MG Chemicals Silicone Conformal Coating.I didn't even pull the heat shrink off of it.It has been under water numerous times and is fine.I just mount it with Parma Pro Servo Tape. I would think the liquid tape should be fine(I use it on everything else).I just went with the conformal because it is clear for the transponder on the unit.On my Shocker I just ground a slot for the wire in the hatch so the wire wouldn't get cut. That CF is tough. Boy I wish the rain would stop,I wanna get that dang boat back.

Yeah I think that's what I am going to do, and I hope you get your shocker back as well..... Anyways today I ran the hpr with the new set of yge 155 navy controllers instead of the AS26-150 bl's . I must say I was very pleased with them the only thing is I needed to change the layout a little bit. The esc's had to go on top of tunnel instead of being on the side of hull. Below are some pics.

Actually looks like a fairly full hull there Chris.I have hunted through you're thread but no good pic of the steering rods. I am having an issue.
