USPS for sure. I am still fighting it out about a set of Hurst edition t-tops I supplied a customer in CA that UPS shattered. They are fighting over 100 bucks lol ridiculous. You will love the boat man it should go pretty good! If your into boating it will get you hooked.

I would use your other boat for a recovery boat.

The 20 something year old boat in my sig is my recovery boat. It was my first boat/build and I could never part with it (I have been known to go to drastic measures toget that ol' hull back LOL)
CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.

With the stock motor (Miss geico)
the 120 amp speedo will be fine, that is what i run, pulling 85+ amps on the regular and it stays under 115, I like overkill too, but i think the 120 is overkill enough for that motor, push the motor any harder then that and it is likely to burn up.

I told you your project boat would either be a fail or a rescue. Came out ok (still need to see vid with appropriate batt) but i knew you would get bored with it soon.

My opinion on the trade. take the trade, but don't expect to make money off the deal, if you wanna make money off trades you would be better off looking to the stock market.

Hobbies cost money, they rarely, if ever make you money. Depreciation is instant on rc stuff just like how you lose a couple grand the moment you drive a new car off the lot. A NIB MS gieco can be had for 300-325, a slightly used one.. maybe 200 seen em go for 150 with minor damage.

transomfix 002.jpg This is blueprinting the sponsons Mason. You fill in the concave area's and make them smooth. It is good to do on all boats if needed. You may call these concave area's, hooks.

Hey how did you get the big pics up?

Smooths out the ride and helps makes the boat handle and react predictably. If it has uneven surfaces it may hit waves or water differently as it touches different areas.Does that make sense?

Hehe. You need some glazing putty(that's what I use). You take a straight edge and set it on the ride surface(sponson) and look for the dips. Then you fill them with putty and sand smooth, fill with putty and sand smooth, fill with putty, well, you get it.Yeah, this again.I also sharpened up the edges,if you look at the pic you can see it.

But just run it for a bit before trying all this stuff. That is a UL-1 motor so it should rip.
