If the boat is promised in good condition and not cracked at all or anything and the gelcoat is in good shape then I would go for it but I would make sure to plan on putting a real esc in the thing instead of what it has.
If it was me I would ask for close up pics of the sponsen tips and the back transom area. Also I would want to see some pics of the rudder mount area and inside up in the bow area and inside!
CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.

The MG is a great boat to learn on Mason.Mine started stock.I've wiped it out and rebuilt it to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxW63xpr3Zw and even further. They have a weak spot in the seam where the hulls go together but that won't show itself until you wipe it out at 50+(some never show). It doesn't wreck it or anything but you could learn some fiberglass at that point. All in all it is a good boat,it is my best boat.Go to 3:15 to see some slo-mo of mine here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T755w8fHsjc
