I will try this hull first and save for the different hull but which is better?
First build... Cheap boat, lots of power

Here is what im thinking for parts
Flex cable. What size?
Drive dog
Aluminum rudder
I will put the rudder on, run the prop out, what angle and how far out, make a plate for electronics and servo.
Add more foam, how much and what kind???When speed isnt the option, change your waysComment

The exit hole for the prop shaft should be up higher on the transom............about 5-7mm up from the bottom. The "stinger"/tube should stick out about 2".NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Ok. So from the lowest point of the hull, the hole should be at 5mm or would 7mm be better. Which is better, which angle should it be at. Im going to tryb drilling the hole tonight or tomorrow and need to know what all i need. As much info to what needs to be done for the drive shaft... I will be running a rudder but have no idea where i should mount that either. Like have it off to the side or what? When speed isnt the option, change your waysComment

Here's the rudder I would put on from here http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80051 I would offset it to the right but only enough to clear the biggest prop you would be using(35mm or maybe a 37).This rudder should end up beside your prop if you were to look from the top.If you mount the stuffing tube with 1.5 inches outside the hull I would go with a 5mm center for your hole.I assume from your posts that you are just thinking of running the tube as opposed to a stinger or strut for this "experiment".Comment

I am open to ideas. Should i get something for the rod.. ok.. lets start this, what should i get.
The rudder-what size is good
Drive line- kind of line, adjustments!
What? I have no idea what to get or have...When speed isnt the option, change your waysComment

First of all, don't get in a panic to get things done overnight. You should take some time and read and study what others have done.I have a little hull(25") that I just have to run again even though it is probably not worth it.But I've had it since I was 18,so...
The rudder you posted a link to would be fine as long as the transom(rear mounting surface)is strong enough to hold it with only two small bolts.Comment

For the transom??? Could i add a piece of plastic of aluminum to stiffen it up? Also, what were the things for the drive lines i needed. Everything i get here should be able to cover over onto a different hull correct? When speed isnt the option, change your waysComment

I think this would do the trick for you http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...t-oc6str-130da all you would need is an appropriate sized brass tube to put the flex and liner in.(5mm center hole)Comment
