I'll take a look at it closer when it comes time to put it together... it's currently about 3rd or 4th on the "to-build" list at the moment...

Hey I got my Pickle in the mail today....nice looking little boat. The build is superb for sure. I am planning to build mine exactly the way Phil and the testers have suggested and have some fun with it. My motor and cell setup will fully depend on the other guys in our club and if they want to make this a fun race class or not. I am thinking 2s on a L can Feigao to keep the cost down?

Doug can you tell me if there is extra support in the right sponson for the turn fin...I am guessing there is for sure but if so is it wood?

I'm thinking SV27 Motor and ESC on 4S1P for LSH here with our club... Easy, Cheap, and FAST! Should be a great LSH package!!

And Doug, exactly! I do enough tweaking and converting and customizing... With this one, I just want to paint it and use it! Just like what Phil had in mind!!

Darin will 2s5000mah packs fit up front? I don't have any 2s packs to check YET.

I think so... There's quite a bit of room up there... it was designed for two 6-cell NiMH packs to sit in there side-by-side...

                Yes sir, 3/16 Epoxy-Coated, Hot-Pressed Mahogany Ply.

Two 2s 4900s fit up front with a little room to spare. You have just under 4" between the stringers.

Ok guys, who is going to have theirs in the water first??

                    I hear ya Danny.
I don't have any new builds planned for this year. Luckily everything survived 07.

To speed up my pickle's completion date, something has to go. I decided the Vegas would be the likely victim, but when I saw the pics (again) of the photochopped bud decals, I just couldn't let her go!

I took mine to the pond for a float test yesterday :-) Does that count as first wet ? LOL
I haven't run it yet . Monday for the maiden .
I read about an unlimited from the 60s called " What a pickle"
The graphics " What A Pickle " and pickle pix will be done Fri.
                        I'm going to try the Solinger hardware mounted very low, 6L , 2S2P 3300 poly Quest . I'll start with a cutdown x438 , Hydra 120.
With Battery and ESC full aft in front of the motor the CG is an 1 1/4" behind the sponsons.
This kit sure goes together easily .

Dick, I would be interested in how the Solinger hardware fits on the Pickle...

It fits well. The bracket measures 11/16th". the transom below where its joined is 7/8th".
I'll try to post some pixs when the graphics are on .

you can mount the rudder bracket on the bottom holes of the strut bracket so you don't have to have that fixed to low on the transom. And with the new 3" rudder you should have plenty of length in the water
