You asked for 'em, here they are! I haven't un-masked the bottom of the boat yet, which i left white, but other than a few touch-up spots and a good wet-sand to clean up some minor bleed-thru, it came out pretty good! The pics just don't do the purple justice, which looks blue no matter what kinda light i took the pics in. It's grape soda purple, believe me!

Thanks fellas!! I've always been a big fan of high contrast color schemes, especially like you see on all the newer custom boats now-a-day's!!

Just messing around with paint shop, this is what i had in mind for some orange contrast, this is just to get an idea on how the colors would look together, it'll be a little more precise when i paint it lol.

That's the other side of my basement, i completly gutted it and built a full out rock'n roll "saloon" style bar! The cabinet stereo is a 1972 Sears Silvertone complete with a turntable. I love it! I have modern stereo system installed too but the Sears cabinet sounds awsome and what i have on most of the time! I have a pretty decent collection of records to, record player is a touch slow but works well. The "old" style radio really isn't that old, it's somewhere from the 80's, i got it cheap at a fleamarket cuz it fit my bars decor. I took the boat out there to grab some pics of it cuz the lighting is much better than in my cluttered up work shop lol.

Yeah, i'm diggin' the orange too, adds a little bit more pop to green and purple.

Cool ass basement,, the old stereo my grandmother has is like a big cabinet, even all the way across and you flip up the hole top and it has a turn table in the middle and a old style radio in one end and her records in the other end and she's full German so i dont think its Sears but i gess i could be wrong and all the records are in German so i cant uderstand them but they sound cool..

I un-masked the bottom the other day, i'm really happy with how the paint is coming out so far!! I'm also glad i decided to leave the bottom white, it makes the lines of the hull and the colors stand out a little bit more!! I'm back to being a working stiff again so the boat is a weekend project pretty much from here on, vacation was great tho, got alot done to the boat as planned!

I know, it's just a cell phone camera so it must have a hard time processing purple, but with out the flash you can kinda see the purple trying to come thru. I'm gonna start pin-stripping this weekend, then a light wet sand to clean up the edges, then i'll burry it in clear!

Yup, that's been the plan almost all along, I did a test panel and the silver pin stripe looked the best!

                                Thanks Gimp!!
