Thanks Scott, I've calmed a little and have started to feel like a drug addict needing his fix, the urge to drive it is too great so I've given it to a local club to look after for me it until the auction. I'm going to have to build a replica with the same set up so I can seee how she runs, has to be better than all my early you tube vids.

Players driving it or a replica on the footy show/today show/ect would generate some excitment I would imagine, I'm waiting on a some emails and return calls so I can get the ball rolling. I'm beginning to find it's difficult taking it to the next level as a lot of peoples first reaction is "what's he want out of it", it's very dissapointing how society thinks now after years of no-good scammers trainning us to be this way.

No thanks, they can leave me out of it and focus on pumping up the value of the product they have to work with, maybe have a well respected personality suggest another high profile personality kick the bidding off around 5-10k. I've spoken to the club and it looks like it's one of the first autograph rare collectors peices for 2012 and the players list is yet to be finalized and released, thats gotta make it worth a bit more.

the biggest newbie lesson I've learned from this build is to make sure you have time to drive it b4 you do something like this. I will never paint another hull b4 I've flogged the guts outta the boat and got it running well, my bad.

The Bomber boat is safely locked away from me and with the events that hit our family last week, I have contacted the local council for assistance in pursuing my fund raising goal. Unless they come up with something, after being unable to chase up other avenues, it is looking like it'll going on the Good Friday Appeal online charity auction that'll be broadcast on channel 7 through out the day on Good Friday. I received the Certificate of Authentisity last Monday singed by the curator of the hall of fame for the Bombers so it's all legit now.
One thing I've found very sad through out all this so far is how poor society thinks of each other, after sending out many emails trying to explore ways to make the most out of this and I've only received a few back and the first reaction is "what do I want out of it" or "are you expecting money". My opening line in the emails was something like "I don't want anything out of this and will be happy to remain anonymous"

I decided to build another pirate based off this one and use these electronic's, don't stress, I won't go on with pic's and crap, just video footage when she's done, that'll close this thread for me.

A very kind man "Dave" has built a nice display case for the hull and harware and it look's great. I asked if he would build the design and he's made a few necessary changes and it's come up a treat although I'm now thinking a longer, lower one may have heen better but I think it'll look a treat in a huge sports bar or somewhere like that. I think the online auction starts soon so when I find the link, I'll post it.
