Thanks for the input Doc,I am thinking of these http://www.horracing.com/product_inf...roducts_id=573 I do have room for the second mount although I am not sure how I will get them fixed. It really looks to me like they bolt right in place of my existing ones(according to screen measurements).
I have 3mm CF plate glued to the transom for stinger backing. Not just a little piece either,it is bonded all the way round the sides and top deck.I guess I will have to pull it apart and check it all out. Please let me know you're thoughts.

    BTW these are 110mm stingers

The stinger are pretty tough like doc said it's prob the hull along with the mounts needing some reinforcement I used the same drives to push a 42 in hull with 1717 's in it and it was one he'll of a heavy boat as wellI also have cut them down before and just pressed in some new bushings Can u tell if the sponsons transom is flexing at all ?

I really can't see how I can have any flex there with how it got over enforced.I'll check it now.

          haha
I just emailed my lhs and said to get some of those in !
Do note you need to get L&R flex with welded stubs to suit these.

The support pedestal has a backing plate you insert into hull, and threaded for bolts from outside.
I smear sealant on the backing plate, and onto the stinger 'gearbox' at the hull .. aids in waterproofing.
Drill the stinger end first... then mount the pedestal.. a few 1/32 out and the bastards wont align !

how do I know ? They're the little brother of the ones on TFL Daytona/Genesis 56" hulls

This is a pic of the doubler(triple)
              transom 001.jpg
Upon a closer look I believe that one of them if not both are bent a little.Just on the adjusting brackets. You know,I really don't remember hitting anything but may have.Oh that's right the 447's,I did ding one up a bit on the fly.The boat has flown thru the air when it hit shore once but I checked it afterwards and all was fine except paint.

Yeah I'm not sure if I could get in there anymore with the transom doubler and my water outlet tube running through there.

I can see where they would mount in the pic posted above.. plenty of space for small fingers.

Nothing is impossible,I know.I had to get in the top part for the nuts that hold the outlet shrouds on.

By ears do you mean the mounting flange where the screw heads are? You can probably "persuade" them back, but once they've reached the yield point, they won't be as strong as before.

Well,I managed to just tweak the stinger mounts while in place with a steady hand and pressure. All good now.As long as I don't hit anything or whatever happened(it has blownover numerous times).Still thinking about the stingers with pedestal mount.

Wow, if you can bend them like that, imagine what the 2000W+, you put through will do! - in my mounts, the motor and motor mounts take all the push, due to the shaft going all the way through. how are your flex cables attached?

Mine are somewhat like yours Kent. One piece flex with a thrust washer at the mount. I didn't just simply bend them,I took the stingers apart down to the mount on the transom.I then tweaked the ears(the part where you adjust them) with pliers and screwdriver.I made sure they were parallel and straight with the sponson rails. It didn't take much.If this happens again I will get the stingers with a rear mount.

I also put the stinger down 1mm to see what it will do.
