i recomend scuffing the spots where you need glue and epoxy them in, you dont want them to come loose and start turning or youll never get your hatch back off.

I was only going to glue the top sleeve to the hatch. The bottoms section has nuts on them. My concern was not to lose the sleeves from the hatch. Or am I not thinking this out properly?hatch locks.jpg

Dont they have those spring loaded type press on washers to hold it to the hatch? If so, which is the only way Id ever seen them, Id just do a very thin bead of clear silicone or caulk to seal it. Little enough so that when its pressed to the hatch deck it does not ooz out.

Spent a little time on the boat. got the hatch work done. All i can recommend is use new bits when drilling. I had to do a little filing after to line things up properly. I will next be working on waterproofing the ESC. Then start working on installing electronics. DSC_0037.jpgDSC_0038.jpg

i personaly recomend you put hatch locks up fron also,, i lost my Geico hatch in a flip and it had just one of the front pins like yours at least if you have the locks in all 4 corners you no it cant come off and it will pinch the hatch seal evenly.. when drilling mine i just put the hatch on and used a small drill bit and drilled straight threw the hatch and hull at the same time to ensure the holes were even, then i used my little dremel with a grinder tip and just enlarged the holes till the locks fit right.. Anyway good work bro..

I have completed the waterproofing of the ESC. I have not taken it for a test drive since all there is around here now is lots of ice. I will have to save it for spring.Sealed ESC.JPGESC 001.jpg

So, we are having the same issues with the weather I belive. I live in Sweden. Spring it is...!
Nice work with the ESC. Mine is only waterproofed on the side“s with the original protection "hose" still on it. Dont know if that is better or not.
I will start one thread of my own soon...

Yeah that's the same brand.I've got it in my NQD successfully that I run in the creeks out here at the coast.
Hey I wonder what kind of ice racer thread we could start.I'm not sure about snow but I think it'll be a long cold winter.
