47" Carbon/kevlar 2028 10s mono build.

Hey guys, had to find a new hull to drop the motor/hardware in from my 51" titanic........

Been eyeing this larger version of my 39" mono and pulled the trigger. 47" and seems to be well made from close inspection, carbon/kevlar laid in nicely with stringers and transom support already installed. A forum friend of mine runs one and has had great success with a 2028 on 10s, looks rock steady in his vids.

Just getting started as i have been on vacation all week.

Black boat is my 39" "Vader" for comparison.

Awesome! Looks bigger than 47" in the pics! I almost pulled the trigger on one of these hull s few times.

Looks good. The only thing I never liked about the copy hulls is the indent in the hatch for the pipe. Makes it a pain to tape good. Good luck with the build, I'm sure she'll run good.

Gettin' a bit done finally

Just back from vacation and was able to get a bit done this afternoon. Got the "tough" stuff done........or what i consider to be tough and tedious. Great care is needed in my opinion on the stuffing tube hole as well as motor mount alignment to correlate with the stuffing tube. All angles were checked and double checked to ensure a clean straight driveline. I drilled the stuffing tube transom hole with a 1.5mm offset to somewhat counteract prop steer. I used the old stuffing tube support in honor of Big Blue......RIP.

Got some hardware on tonite. Man, i really dont like trying to line evrything up just right, then drilling holes in a fresh transom.......BUT, got it all just right and am very pleased with the results!

Added a fresh coat of epoxy over the carbon/kevlar for added strength, and cuz it looked just a tad dry, real shiny now........this sucker is gonna be a tank!

It's a Knockoff i got off of Ebay..............my 39" is from the same place too. Myself and a few others have had some good results with them.

Looks like the "business end" is basically done.............alot of hardware back there.......i like it!

Thanks Gents! BTW, the turn fins are NOT as huge as they look in the second pic above...............right near the camera so it looks large, but they are the largest ones Steven sells...............looks in proportion in person.

I have been considering this same hull for my winter project. I have a 2028 on the way but still deciding on a hull.

What ESC are you going to run? I was thinking about grabbing the Hydra Ice HV.
