To make it simple, caps charge up when there is too much current and discharge when there is less current, it keeps the power runnning steady and smooth and makes it easier on the ESC, more caps just add to this efficiency

Have you managed to wrap up my big tunnel yet ..
If shes prop torquing your props either too big, too blunt or you might need to add weight to the sponson thats lifting.I seriously dont think width has anything to do with it.

Try adding weight to the front of the left sponson if you can get in there lol,it works well i did that on my hydros.Just moulded a new Arrow deck for me shes lime green with carbon showing in a few places, will show a pic when shes ready.

Heres a cpl of pics, not turned out as good as expected i had issues with air trapped in the recesses where the carbon lifted but its fixable.Thats the problem when using poly resin its not sticky enough to hold stiff materials in place so might need to use spray adhesive in those areas and then impreg with resin, flat areas are not a problem, not bad for first attempt but the lines arent as sharp as id like think the masking tape was crap lol so will airbrush them to clean them up then give the whole thing a cpl coats of laquer,as this ones for me its no big deal and im sure now ive tested one i can get it right next time lol.

Yea ive now filled the voids using a small syringe, drilled a few tiny holes and injected the resin in there and worked a treat lol.Ill airbrush the lines when i get a chance to sharpen them up a tad then ill laquer it all.Ill build the hull next week but im undecided on a colour, either green hull ,black hull or white hmmm what you think lol.Sorry to go off topic ill start a thread when im ready to actually start putting this thing together.Ohh im also going to be making carbon motor mounts and rails and maybe radio boxes battery trays etc, hopefully they will sell quite well.

                          Evening all
                          Ran the genesis today !!!
Genesis powered up chucked it in (not literally LOL) started going up the pool, next thing it doing circles, brought it in and for some reason the the link from servo to rudder was bent,so replaced it,luckily had a spare and tried again got abit of a run then turned it up the top of the pool, started throttling bump to late park it on the mud embankment, bent another 1 link.and knackered a prop
So need to upgrade that now before any more runs.

Conclusion, the same set up in the saga was 54.1mph,in the genesis was 49.6.
Next time out bigger prop and some setup adjustments.

Right guys, been out today and picked bigger/thicker steering link,3mm stainless and fittings.

if you do decide to run offset rudder make sure you use as above,i think because of the offset rudder turning right puts alot more strain on the link.
Just trying to advise you so you dont suffer the same problems

Just make sure you rig it so the rod is pulling in a right turn then it wont ever bend .

Hi mart, thats all good in theory.
But the way the offset rudder is and the way the bar goes through the hull the servo has to mounted so it pushes to turn right,if you turn the servo round youd have to bend the rod to get it to line up,which is not the best idea,i like to keep them as straight as poss, theres also not enough room on the tunnel floor to mount the servo the other way round to keep it straight.
