Very nice build all the way around. Clean and neat inside and out. The limited use of the green on the white is just killer. Lots of bragging rights here 4 sure.
Here it is in all its glory and ready to hit the water.
Cap bank fitted and changed all the internal cooling pipes for 4mm id and pressure tested.
Should be interesting to see how this performs compared to the saga
Hey guys run the genesis today after all the mods done and fully rebuilt
The offset rudder works fab in the clockwise direction but not as good clockwise but i run clockwise now anyway the boat handles much better than before with with original inline strut/rudder setup.
The biggest problem is prop torque even with 3s pack in left side of hull as you look from transom and the offset strut but once up and running its great.
I run the 4214/2 prop to start, cavitation was an issue
2nd run i tried the 4217/3 and all it did was cavitate but once it bit its quick, but i wont be running this prop again.
Temps on both runs were barely warm, and the cap bank worked a treat
Hey jerry
I was running 5s
This set up in the saga run 54.1mph and this seemed and comparing the vids to be quicker, but who knows.
Next run is GPS runs, bigger pool and bigger prop so ill post the info once been
Runs good m8 told you these cats turn ok bet its faster than the little Saga and more stable. When i get my cat finished ill need to send one for you to test should be even better me thinks.
Mart
Hey bud
it turns ok,infact its better with the offset rudder for sure, but soon as i try to power it proptorques and lifts the sponson out the water till you straighten up again then hit full throtlle LOL
if it were wider would be alot better for sure,i even even offset the strut it suffers from it haha
Hey Slow there a nuisense LOL
Going this weekend to bigger pool and up in prop, will GPS the runs and see what im hitting, then compare to the saga cat i used to run the same setup in.
Wil get vids and pics and post them asap
