Very nice, and crazy fast Peter! your workmanship shows in how it runs and performs. Now try balancing that prop. I think we all had some minor mishaps yesterday but over all it was great getting out and ripping up the pond.

          Very nice Peter,

Were you running the 3080/7 as a Delta wind?

Thank you Tyler - Yes in the true 7 turn config . I am converting the output shaft back to 3/16 giving me a lot more variety in props to use . You really couldn't see it in the video but the boat was torquing to the right really bad on the 10 cell runs .

Thanks for the kudos Ken and Doug

                  Peter,

You like living dangerously. I love it. That's spinning some pretty high revs on the big girl. Did you run the Eagle Tree for any of the runs? I hope by 3/16" you mean just the stub section. That motor produces enough grunt to snap .187" cable in a blip.

BTW, I ended up switching to a square drive couple on the motor side and a bearing strut to take the thrust loading. On the heavy monos, the thursday on the cable was taking a lot of capacity out of the shaft. I snapped several 1/4" Suhner cables before I switched to square.

                  Keep us updated.

Peter, is there any benifit to higher pitched props on big boats or is it like any boat?

Just the stub shaft Tyler , The Punisher has the 3/16 stub with the 2230 and on its 3rd season I have a lot of props with the 3/16 holes and only three with the 1/4 holes and they are gas props to boot . I run the square end ferrule in the strut with all my boats - that has served me well for many seasons already and sorry Tyler no Eagletree on that run . I need to replace mine I think repeated 275+ amp runs have K/O'd mine cause it just don't function properly anymore .

For sure with the updates I am just vibrating thinking about getting that bad boy out again .

Ray props are my weak point - I have to rely heavily on advice from other boaters when it comes to props and what to use - but I would imagine its like anything else .

                          Hey Peter,
Looking good, All but that torque roll.
Do you think that prop hit something in the water ?

The coolers are more for bling bling right..

Thank you for the nice comment shannon and no those fancy coolors I dubt do anything other than look good but thats the only reason I bought them for the eye candy - there is absolutely no airflow inside of a sealed hatch boat

Hello Lenny - yes my friend the coolers are absolutely for bling and nothing else.....LOL , As far as the prop I watched the video several times and always on the return passes I come back accross my own wake , on that last pass I suspect the sudden additional load sheared the blades off - my uneducated opinion

Hi peter you are very welcome and yes thats what i thought as there would be no airflow in the boat but the certainly look the part.

I also like how you used aliminium tubing for water lines it would reduce the chance of kinking.

I was wondering if you used any special tools to shape them as i would like to do something similar if you dont mind me taking inspiration form your setup.
