Hi Pete, I have baught the same turnigy cells for my 10s mono. How do you think they will hold up?
Have you had a chance to look at that rudder pod yet?
I want to build a 1/8th scale hydro next with a NEU 2215/2Y and 10s lipo. Just looking for the right hull, Hydro and Marine have some great hulls but the shiping to get it to Australia would be quite high I think.
    Talk soon Shane.

      Hello Shane

I have read a lot on the forum and the general consensus is that they are a good battery , they have been bashed a bit but a lot of boaters really like them . I haven't run mine yet so I cannot comment on how I like them .

A few weeks back I had a major computer meltdown and lost everything in my mail box . Someone on the forum requested a rudder bracket was that you...... . I have the aluminum and will make this my priority this week sorry for any delay Shane .

Who ever made that motor mount did a great job. Very nice build, Pete. One thing I don't like about Nanotech batteries is the use of 10 gauge wire. That's what my pair have anyway. Maybe they have began using 8 gauge now? They also seem to puff easier than my regular Turnigy's.
        Best of luck, Pete

The mount is my design thanks for the kudos Larry . My Nanotechs are 10 awg also but hoping they work out over the long haul , eventualy next year when I upgrade to the 40/303 I will get more rubust cells with it . Right now I only have 4 year old 20/30 polyquests and have beat the crap out of them with 110+ amp pulls out of each bank of cells and the are still hanging in .

Don't know how i missed this thread starting up Peter, this thing is gonna rock. I wouldn't worry about 10awg with a 2p setup.

What kind of electric boat could use such a beast prop?? Looks very nice!

Question about your hardware setup Peter...

You said strut centerline is 13mm, cool. I drilled my 40" hull at 10mm, hope this will work o.k.???

Your trim tabs look like they are almost level with the hull bottom, are they or are they raised above the hull bottom by how much?

I setup my DF33 P-mono with tabs quite high, about 3mm up from hull bottom. Seems to work o.k.

What is your theory on best hardware position?

                        Hello Ray

You got me excited with your build also . 10mm is good my 1st Sniper is setup at about 10mm but this one I want up a bit so I can spin a bigger wheel and it can still unload . Tylers 3080 Sniper is at 13mm that why I went with that location . That prop is very nice indeed but am a little weiry of 4 , 5 blade props . I have a 5 blade that is a absolute turd .

My tabs are flush with the bottom on this one and Sniper #1 everything is set to zero degree's and it works good .

What happened and what are the specs on the 5 blade? is it possible to run it?

                              Not a problem Ray

I am sure with a bit of setup it could be made to work but it cavitated so severely it bent the shaft on the boat . Props are somewhat of a grey area for me but from what I have read a 3 or 2 blade would be more efficient , Sometimes scaling something down does not guarantee that it will work just as good
