I am sure with a bit of setup it could be made to work but it cavitated so severely it bent the shaft on the boat . Props are somewhat of a grey area for me but from what I have read a 3 or 2 blade would be more efficient , Sometimes scaling something down does not guarantee that it will work just as good
Ouch, what is the diameter? would you be willing to sell it? I just want it for a show prop, I may not even run it.
Tyler thanks for confirming that , I want to try my ABC2616 on this one
Thanks for the nice words guys , I have a few things on the fly right now ( 3080/11 57" Apache retro fit ) + re-doing a basement bedroom to be the new model building shop but will be proceeding with the Sniper build within a weeks time .
The DF35 went great at least 50mph on just 5 cells with a x450/3 prop on just the second run and the 2280 was a 8cell motor but like a dumb a$$ running in rough water it went for a hard tumble cracking the hull and caving in the top hatch to a point . It can be repaired but it will be put on the back burner for now once the Apache and Sniper are complete I will set things right with the DF35 , I will also need to order a new hatch this one is just trashed .
Thank you , I am going to try to mount the motor and stuffing tube within the next few days , on the flipside I tried my new nanotech 45/90's on the red Sniper and am extreemly pleased with the performance . A huge difference from my aging and ailing 20/30 4 year old polyrc lipo's
