Here's a few of the hatch, I was able to get a few shots with more color comming through. No I just have to add the stickers and clear coat, then it'll be test time.

thanks, I'm getting itchy fingers to drive it, I hope to get the clear coat done over the next day or so and then stick some batteries in it and throw it in.

I don't race either but I have painted the bottom of the sponson, tunnel and transom, white. I'd read that and thought that'd be important, I can see this boat landing upside down a lot, lol

Last night I fitted a speedmaster .21 rudder assembly, after a few mods I've managed to get it all fitted and set up. My question is, Does it really need to be this long?????

I cut an inch off mine. I think it doesn't need to be that long but it doesn't hurt. Either way, mine handles and turns fine with it shortened up a bit

I laid some carbon cloth inside the hatch tonight, it was pretty flimsy so I thought it should help strengthen it and I also made a rear hatch lock using a push rod bolted to the hatch and the rod attached to the strut, I recon this will be good as it'll still be easy to tape and it holds the lid on very solid.
I'm wondering what a good cog would be good to start at, I'm guessing 29-30%, should that be a good starting point for the first run, I'm thinking that I might run 4sp2 with a x442 thats had the tongues removed, then once I get a feel I'll jump up to 6s2p with a m447/ x448 and maybe a x548??

a few pic's of the hatch and lock, I'll add floatation today. Can anyone offer any advise on how to close off the rudder water intake?? I'm not going to use it.

Cog I think was like 8 1/2 on mine, not 100% sure. I can tell you I run my packs rite in the sponsons in the second part after the step, you know th middle part haha. But my packs fit nicely there too
