Well guys this is the finished product ,used some 3mm red pin striping to cover the joins, just got to bolt the hardwear back on & im ready for some testing well except for the cockpit which is not going to stop me doing some testing .

nice! where did you get the ul-1 plans? or did you measure it yourself?

I measured up my AQ UL1 & enlarged them by 25% & thats the end product .... Going to test the 4082-1500kv motor first & see how that will push the hull along & i have a 5682 - 1670kv 4500 watt motor to try as well , on 6s

I've been watching this thread... great build and final product! I loved my Ul-1 and also wished it was just a tad larger! Can't wait to see some video.

great job! I think I'd like to try my hand at this one. Do you have plans for it? Or did you simply increase all dimensions by 25% and let your genius do the rest? =) I really like this boat!

Cheers , just increased the measuurements by 25% & a lot of trial & error , this was my first ever scratch build , but it all comes down to how it handles on the water !!!

Guys i have been cursed !!! since i finished the build , there has not been one day of good weather . its been blowing a gale for over a week now & my lake has had 1-2 foot chop every bloody day the only water it has seen was in the bath tub lol , it floats & no leaks thats a good start !!!

Just looked out the window & and no wind but its only 6 am , to early & cold to go to the lake yet

Had my first run today , didnt have my video with me sorry guys . i ran with a 4082 - 1500kv & S&B V942 what a prop ! with 3S1p x 2 & GPSed 60 mph on the first run @ about 3/4 throttle , i should get 70+ mph with this prop. Had some COG issues , had to remove the foam from the front of the hull to move the batteries forward , was not getting the ass all the way out of the water . ran out of batteries so need to do some more testing .

Not sure if i need a deeper strut or cause of the bigger hull i need to run 2 x 6S1P packs to get the weight over the front . but she came back in one piece & not a drop of water inside ..

A very short vid , running a v942 , a lot of slip from a dead start but when it hooks up , hold on ! got the rx wet , when i fliped it . Need to get some more weight over the front or a air dam, it wants to fly at around 60 mph

Just read this thread for the first time, very cool build scoota

That thing blows over just like the real ones.

It will be interesting to see how it runs once you get it dialed in.
