OK,,,finally. Here is the vid. its of the first part of the run, never went beyond 1/2 throttle as it was blowing steady 20 Mph and gusting to almost 40 with about 5-6 inches of chop Oh yeah, and it was only 8 Deg C up here, about 45 F so it was cold.

A few passes to make sure all water cooling was flowing I gave it a few half throttle bursts and it went like crazy!. The boat seemed nicely balanced. Just after the vid, I bought it in and all was nice and cool.

Sent it out and after a two more laps, it stopped

It drifted to shore in about 2 minutes thanks to the wind. I pulled off the cowling and everything still nice and cool. The motor struggled to turn over, almost as though it was fried, but given the temps,,, it should not have been the problem. After a few more freezing minutes, I decided to call it a day.

At home it had the same problem,,,,I dried everything out and noticed some water in the Hydra. Castle says they are water resistant but I suppose not waterproof. I'll have to talk to Castle about methods for better waterproofing. I mounted the controller so it is in the direct path of the cowling intake to add some air cooling as well. Anyway, after a few hours of drying, the motor is turning over again like nothing happened so all seems to be good! (now if I can just program it!!)

More vid to come the next time I go out!

It's great your finally getting to enjoy all your hard work and can't wait to see more vids as you get it more dialed in. So cool to see a big hydro like that at speed.

Thanks Bug; Next weekend if all goes well, I`ll take the Camerman (in my case, Camerawoman ) along and take some more vid. I`m really not sure how much faster I want it to be.

                I did today,,,Scary fast
Theres a different feeling waiting for your SV (300 bucks) to flip than there is waiting for your 1/8th (2000 bucks) to flip. Makes you think about your trigger finger just a bit more

Right now its on a 54Mph Hydro,,,,catch it if you can

Seriously though, if FD takes any longer I'll send you some $$$$$ for it if thats OK and then when the jacket does make it here (if it makes it here) I'll send you that as well.
He also owes me a wack of 6mm gold connectors.

The Excites are working well, after a 5 minute run they are barely warm. I'm tempted to try them in a 2S configuration and see how they do.
