    Thanks Mich;
    This has been one very slow thaw.
    I am using a 1/4" flex drive. All the hardware is from Horizon Hobby and is the stock ProBoat stuff. The props I'm initally going to use are;

    Prop #1 will be from my AQ V-24 that I have lying around. Here is the link :
    Tower Hobbies carries an expansive collection of RC cars, RC airplanes, RC boats, model trains, sot cars, and supplies for all hobbyists.

    Prop #2 will be a 3 bladed Vodoo prop thats also lying around. Here is the link;
    http://www.voodooprops.com/ its a 65X18

    I'll start with these and then I'm open to suggestions from everyone

    Still waiting for my cooling jacket that is apparently on B/O. I really wished I had waited for Steve to get the big Neus in stock and bought everything from him. This will be my last purchase from F/D. If the 180 HV Hydras are not released by the time the ponds thaw, then I'll probably use my Schultze 140/60 in the meantime, I just hate moving speed controlls from one boat to another.

      And the wait for the Hydra and the Cooling jacket goes on.
      I did purchase a HV 180 from Castle directly but it will still be a few weeks wait. They were offering 25% off the price untill the end of March so it was to good of a deal to pass up.

      As for the cooling jacket,,,,,,,,and FD,,,,,,

      Picked up some brass tubing to make up for the difference in the prop shaft diameter and the prop hole diameter. Cut them to size and it fits like a glove with no slop.

        try calling his goofy butt. Or call your cc company and tell em you were ripped.

        THEN... order it from STEVEN!!! LOL
        Or just dont use one for your first 30 second run. see how it goes. with the cold water you got there it might just be cold enought to wrap silicone tube around the motor a few times. OH OH how I hate the cold.

          Mike, I did get an Email from FD after 3 tries and it is on BO.....You are right though, it will still be pretty refreshing up here when the first run happens, so I can probably get away with out a cooling jacket for a few short runs.

            awsome build

            It's coming out great and can't wait to see vid. Before this thread I was on the fence about a bigger boat and if I were to get one if I would go conventional 2 stroke or electric and this has answered that. BRUSHLESS ALL THE WAY AND THE BIGGER THE THE BETTER. Thanx for all the pics and input from you and everyone else. I'm new to boats but been in rc offroad for 20 years and in the past 6 months with alot of help from this site I'm hooked in a big way!!!!Hope to post my first build in the future.

                  I just got offered a loaner cooling jacket from Txboatpilot (there are some nice people here) untill the FD "BO"' comes in. So thanks to that kind offer, this should be in the water in 2 weeks. The bigger ponds that I need to run the larger boats is still covered in ice , the smaller ones are going to get used tomorrow, time to get some boats wet after 5 looong months.

                  Woo Hooooo

                    So, I fired up the LMT is evening using my Schultze 140/60 (as the HV Hydra is on BO....the story of my life !) and all is well. I love the sound of a BIG motor. TxBoatpilot has shipped the cooloing jacket for my "temporary" use (he will never see it again, but don't tell him that)

                    Its coming together !

                          I cancelled my HV Hydra 180 on Thursday from Castle, they said a few more weeks for delivery. Steve mentioned he had one so I snapped it up, It shipped Friday,,,,so if all goes well, TX's cooling jacket arrives this week , the controller arrives this week,,,,,,then maybe,,,,,,,just maybe it will be in the water next weekend. A lot of things have to happen but its possible! I'm off now to run my SV with the 9XL.

                            I got my cooling jacket today,,,Woooooooooo Hooooooooooooo!
                            Although I have to clarify that it was the "Loaner" (yeah,,,right) from TxBoatpilot. There are some good people here!

                            The one from FD is still nowhere to be seen

                            So if all goes well, this weekend might be the maiden voyage. If my HV 180 doesn't make it here by Friday, I'll use my Schultze. The weather forecast is 50/50 right now for the weekend.
