Because there are a bunch of members who want less classesand insurance reasons........I showed up to a SAW with a quad drive expecting to smash the record(wich i did for 2 hours) and they made me pull out half my batteries because of a millamp rule.........basically ruined 4 5000mah 4s and 4 5000mah2s packs by over C discharging them, my motors didn't run right....I never would have drove my motorhome to run the SAW if i had known.....also there are voltage limits....

To make a long story short Im still waiting for 90 mph I know he can do it. Should be interesting to see how much work another 10 mph will require
or they shoud have a exhibition class maybe?Comment

No they are not. Its a person such as yourself that doesnt research this class of information that passes along this typical BS misinformation.! Get off your AZZ. Do a search function of GPS using accuracy as your filter. Then look at the information that pops up! Then take 30 or 60 minutes and read COMPLETELY what is displayed on your screen with the 30 or more links! If your not smart enough to comprehend what has been presented for data then ask the questions you dont understand. Its not rocket science. I dont work for NASA. And I cant tell you who I do work for. But I sort of know GPS. At least more then you do by your comments. Stop spewing crap when you are uninformed!
The truth doesnt lay in your comprehension of the way things work. There is your opinion and the way the real world works. Speak facts to me. Cite me a software data adjustment or factual manufacturer data sheet indicating an accuracy reading greater then 85% in less then 2 seconds. Your not going to find it. There is no single receiver software algorithms using precise DOP. Know what that is? Dilution of Precision? A degradation of accuracy over time?
This is such a waste of time. Preaching about speed measurement accuracy when the readers dont even know the variables? Become informed. Learn how the technology works. Argue about the system capabilties knowing how it works, not the limited experience you have with a system.
John
Dude has a fast set up, If GPS is SOOO inaccurate, why don't you put forth your great knowledge to fix it? Make it better oh exalted one
Get off the gas man, No one here really gives a crap about who or what you do for work. With your know it all ideology I will presume you work for Webster.
Hows the saying go? Haters gona Hate?

An old friend of mine built a brushless miss vegas with an SV27 motor back in June 25, 2008. I reset the Garmin etrex myself then placed it in the hull. He taped her up and here's her entire run...
vegas-69.9.wmv <--
The GPS read 69.9MPH. There was another time (not recorded on video) The same boat ran much better, but still in the 30's. A different Garmin came back with a reading of 101.? MPH
I am not trying to take away anything from anyone here. just keeping things in perspective."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Let the man have his thread, he built a sweet rig, it is fast, and his GPS said he went XX. this is not a number he pulled out of the air like so many people do.
Example:
" She was in the 70's"
Did you have a GPS?
"Naw I know how fast 70 is"
(The next statement almost always comes out next)
You need a GPS
.......
If they are so unreliable why do we use them as a fall back?
Also; I only got about 30 sec of video?? he never got to run it.Comment

I'm not saying that sh!t cant happen, but when you have repeated results the margin of error has to be greatly reduced.

Howard Big ups to you for getting that hull going that fast.
I'll take a gps reading any day. It is accurate enough for what most of us do here.
Rearwheelin My comments about the watercooling for the caps came across badly and I apologise to you. fwiw I have some very innovative ideas that have been on the water along with all of my hand crafted hardware and hulls.
No hard feelings man ??
