Hi, M8, if you have the esc“s that handles 8s, then 5-700kv would be my suggestion. Like 530kv http://www.himodel.com/electric/HiMo...740PRO-7T.html

      or 880kv t600. 1100 could work also.

I use the 910kv versions and if you want to use 6s, thats the ticket. -do get good batteries thought! -my 25c 5000mAh 6s packs are pretty warm and puffed after 5-6 minute run. (after they cool down, they shrink back to normal, so not impossible, but I do recommend 6s2p or 6s1p with atleast 50C cont.) -and 8s would be so fun, must go past 65mph if using 910kv 8s and 5517/3 props! -but 8s and low kv motors would give longer runtimes.

edit:just found that 5692 turnigy 540kv ones, watercooled they could be good, but I really like the outrunners, the power and sound is so good...

Nice temp probe you have there,
Good to hear those motor are still working good for you.
That big boat airs out pretty fast like my modded to FE PB 36"Shockwave does.

Those two should get a room.

You got very lucky with finding that hot stuffing tube,
Before anything else in the hull got hot and burned up.

                    Hi Fastvee,
Could you please tell me the centerline to centerline spacing between your drives? Your boat runs beautifully and is an inspiration for my next build. I plan to use stinger-type surface drives on mine and want to keep them close together, but not so close that the props interfere with each other.

                    Thanks,
                    Jeff

Hi Jeff, sorry cant remember that .The boat is at the boating place(an island and we have already taken the commuter boat off the water for the winter) and cant get to it until next summer.

I did make sure that 65mm props can be fitted so I guesstimate about 80mm.

Just check that the props have room to rotate and the rudder fits between them if you use shorter standoff for it.

If you know the max prop size you will use then just leave 10mm or so between the props and you should be fine.

If I remember correctly in this pic it had 57mm props .( page 2 of this thread shows more pics )
