I think the overall width is about the same, just the tunnel is narrower (sp.) and the sponsons are wider.

The drives weren't bad, just one big hole to drill.

Ahhh, I gotcha. I wonder if the transom overhang is the same, or if those drives are a little shorter. I notice the raised portion of the hatch extends onto the hull, mine doesn't. That looks nice.

The overhang is about 4 3/4 inches. To me it looks like the drives are shorter on the newer version.

They will be ran on 6s durring optimal conditions. 5s is what it will be ran on for leisure runs. x442's to get it going, but i think it will end up with x447's or something multi bladed from the propshopuk.

The guys I run with have been having good luck with the seaking 180a. Unless I fall into a huge pile of money I think thats what im going to use.

Oh alright, gotcha. These motors tend to draw a lot of amps though, that's why I'm gonna go with the Castle Hydra Ice 240 when it comes out. Also, the ESCs will have data logging so that you can check your amp draw/temperature. If you do happen to fall into a huge pile of money, you should get those, haha

I think those are an excelllent choice. Might have to hide some pennys from the wifey and look into those.

I think they'd do great in your setup. And good idea, haha

It does take a little time for him to resond, but he does....I think it's because his talent (and hulls) are very sought after and he must be very busy because of it...I should see my hpr115 sometime in January, but it will be worth the wait...I'm also thinking of the 1527's with CC240HV 6S.....Can't wait to get my hands on the hull and start with paint job this winter!!

Well, I emailed him about a month ago and he still hasn't replied. It's too late now cause I've got a boat, but it seems like others have had a pretty good experience dealing with Hanspeter. Maybe I'll give him another shot next year

I was originally going to go with the CC240HV, but I figured I'd wait for the new Hydra ICE series to come out. The 240XL will go up to 33v and it has data-logging, you might wanna consider it for your boat. It should be out early next year from what I've heard.
