      a. strenght. On a lot of flips the hatch releases because the boat deformes/deck
      is to flexible.
      b. In case of crash with damage : if front has a crack, the backpart acts as a floatation chamber. If the hatch comes of, the boat wont sink.

            The tubes are soldered in an angle.
            And filed flush to the hull after they were installed.

              btw : what to do if you wanna make a glass/epoxy sheet but don't want to wait for the
              epoxy to cure ?

              Use CA . Works well. 3 layers of glass "impregnated" with CA.
