Mine likes the long trim tabs. Helps her keep the nose down in the turns, and on the water at HIGH speed.

moper i didnt weigh it yet, my postal scale only goes to 5lbs.

ran it again today and got it dialed in pretty good. was flying and running cool. it seemes like she needs a bigger prop because the motor sounds toped out. i still havent put the eagle tree on it to get rpm but it winds out...

now the bad news, burned another cc240, that is the 2nd one in a week (do the math on that one). the first one in my rigger with a 1415 and then this one.. bummer. i have a couple new turnigy 180's that i will use in this one. they wont fit the rigger and i am nervous because i am down to 1 cc240 left... i dont know why but i havent had good luck with tehm latley. the one i run in my tunnel with a 1515 works great, same timing (14 degrees) and i even use less battery in that one (5000mah 4s). i just dont get it..

Chuck you running 14 degrees on the 1521 or the 1415? Cause the "D" winds don't need much timming. I run mine at 3 degrees some run it with less. The 1521 will spin a 450/3 pretty well. I run mostly by myself so I prop down to a 448 that I have been tweaking. Fast enough, good run times and runs cool.

maybee that is the problem, motor was 104 degrees after 2 minutes. i will set the turnigy at 3 degrees and go from there. i made a post a while back and everyone told me 15 degrees on the 1515's and i read your comment about bumping up the timing. no big deal, with any luck they will warranty them, they are manufactured in 8/10
will try 3 degrees, i have a some props to test tomorroy, we are going to the big pond so i should be able to let her run..

Yes they "Y" winds will take the timming well. They run well with it as high as 15 degrees. The "D" winds on the other hand doesn't. Neu recommends low advance. I beleive Jay T. Recommends 0-5 degrees.

i snuck it out today with a turnigy 180 set to 3.75 timing and was all good, temps were low (even teh caps) and it seemed just as fast. tomorow i will get some actual data on it. the only data i got today was "that is alot faster than my cyberstorm" from a guy at the pond. tomorow will tell all. so far i am happy with this boat even though i had esc failure, it really turns good on the gas and i got it dialed pretty good at top speed. got a few props to test with so i am excited to see what i can do. i am going to try and put 3 of the 4 boats i am bringing into the 60's tomorow (the 4th is a spec rigger that runs right at 50) realisticaly i think i stand a good chance with the cat and tunnel and i think this one will be high 50's

Nice Chuck! I hope you get some decent speeds with all of them. Your pic pretty much looks like what I will be running next season!! All green boats just like that as well!!! The only thing I need to paint green is my JAE FE...what green paint brand/color are you using? I would really like to find something like that to match My Vision FE tunnel and soon to be Rico FE (Both gel coated with green)

                          Thanks bro!

i also have a vision fe, ul-1 on a lawless with a cc120, i love that boat only mine is orange.
i went to the automotive paint supplier and they have a brand nason that can be put in cans. they can take any color from the dupont color charts and put it in a std areosol can. it goes on nice and is real deal paint. i used it when i was into nitros because of the fuel, i built all all 3 jae's and had an extra can so sprayed that lee craft tunnel. it is kinda spendy (around $20 per can) but well worth it. as far as the color i think it was dupont 441-37 they call it "a spectra master green" i called it kawasaki lime green..

Hey, thanks for that bit of info Chuck! Just got the Vision from Shawn last week. I will be racing it next year (IMPBA D. 12) and will be using an OS lower, UL-1 motor and ESC and Hyperion 4S 5000's.

How did your speed testing go?

not as good as i had hoped. the rico went 54 on a x447-3 (lower than expected, i need more prop), my hotr cat got 59 on the first run, i went to swap props and noticed the motor mount cracking, ran a m445 and i know it pulls a 447 within acceptable temps, the lee craft tunnel was the winer at 61 and was driving good.
