ok i got the rails glassed in, used some 1" cf tape. came out good, i was worried about getting it sealed good on the outside edge but no problem. i used a few drops of ca to hold the cf in place, applied the resin then installed it in the hull and added another application. ritchie told me the hull was made with polyurathane resin but i used epoxy anyway. the poly smells to strong and i do all this stuff on the lani of my apartment..... dont want to upset the miss'ssee my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

a little more work. i found another cc240 in the box so i am sticking with that. installed a shelf for the esc, got connectors on (8mm motor, 5.5 ea battery. i soldered the wires together under the heat shrink rather than using a paralllel adaptor), stuffing tube bent and installed (still need to seal at trandsom).. i decided to go 1/4 tube with liner rather than no liner (i like the quiet smoother sound)
will carry on more tomorrowsee my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

ok, hit the water today for one set of batteries. super windy and pretty rough conditions. i didnt bring anything other than batteries and a temp gun. the results were good, although i didnt gps it it was easy running high 50;s on a 447/3. i ran it 1 minute and checked for leaks, not a drop temps were cold, after a 2 minute run the temps were; batteries 92, motor 102 and esc caps 110. pretty happy with those numbers and speed. i ran everything flat netural and cog at 28%. it seemed as if it could use a little either negitive on the strut or trim tabs to lower the nose a hair as it was pretty loose but i want to wait for a calmer day to dial on it. although i was very happy with the way it ran in the wind there is a little room for improvement. under hard acceleration in the rough it seemed to chine walk just a little and was running looser than i like. after spending some time i am sure this thing is a keeper. i must say the quality of the hull is great and it seems like it can handle speeds well above 60 with some set-upsee my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

Chuck and George,
Does the Rico Mono require trim tabs? Being a deep vee and all? Will be getting a Rico mono soon. Looking at hardware and setups. Have you guys tried running w/o trimtab at all?? ThanksHPR115 x2 ,Dark Horse Shovel, Delta Force CyberStorm, Delta Force Sniper 23-RTR:Comment

I never tried it without. I know with these BIG ones little adjustment makes a big difference. If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

i just followed mopars build on the hardware, it was also recomended by ritchie the manufacture of the hull. all the builds i have seen have trim tabs and every mono i have ever built i used tabs...see my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294
