i am planning on using cf laminated rails and go polish on black theme to the interior.. this one is going to sit on the shelf alot because my pond is too small unless the tide is at full high. for that reason i am taking my time and going to try and make it kinda of a functional show piece. i dont like fancy paint so the exterior will remain basic.

ya looks good, i havent had her out of the box for more than a couple minuted to inspect and take a quick picture. i have been busy with the fishing thing (damn work getting in teh way of my hobby again) so i havent even got to measure for the rails or anything. finished with my rigger build so i will be able to give this one a little time later in the week. no hurry just want to get it right.
got a 447-3, 646 and 548 from shlund today so i now have a few props to test with.

where ya been bro. i tried calling you and i must have your old number or something. call me.
ya i ditched all the nitro stuff, too much hassle bringing everything. built 2 fe tunnels, a cat and a new rigger. this is the latest. got engaged a few days ago also. after seeing all the sparkle in the ring stores i decided to buy a buffer and doll this one up.
you still working on pirates? or five-o......
                        call me tomorrow...

                          MOPAR......
started workig on my rico, nice hull! i am having a hard time getting the cog around 27-28%. i dont have everything mounted perminently so i know there will be a few more oz on the rear but i am coming up way off. when you get a chance could you check a few measurements. the 14" you said looks really far forward, about 3/4" behind the front of the hatch opening. (red). could you check to the front of the motor (rear of the boat, yellow). also is the tape circled in blue your cog markings? also how tall are the rails at the motor mount? and do you have a hard time getting the 4000 4s in place?

i am in no hurry as i am working on the rails and can only do a little here and there because work is bussy.

                          thanks....

Chuck I re-measured and your right, my first measurement was a little off. It's a half inch off. Measurements as followed to match your pic.

13.5" Transome to front of motor.
10" Transome to back of motor mount.
1.5" Height of rails at front. 1/2" at the rear.

The motor sits right under the bubble in the hatch. The batts slide in from the back where the rails sits lower (or you could go from the front). You cannot get them in or out where the motor mounts. They sit more towards the back (front is usually even with motor depending on my rx pack)

Hope this clears up your problems. Let me know.

BTW the setup changed a little since that pic.

                            Aloha,
