yeah that looks like a cool hull, where did you get it?? I have a new 1520 that would probably work pretty good in one, and i'm looking to build something similar...................

Its built well it appears.
      They're rated at 110A max.

I would be a fan of the 5692 in that boat, but the 1717 would work well if you are looking to run a lower cell count. There is a guy on OSE that just built a 40" mono with a 1717 and got 59mph out of it. Pretty respectable if you ask me!
I have a build going on right now with a 5692 but its a little bit larger and probably much heavier mono.

BL motor cogging has nothing to do with quality or performance, it is a reflection of motor design. The fastest FE boat in the world ran a motor with no apparent cogging at all. Some Neu motors cog, some do not depending on their specific design. A cheap outrunner a club member had cogged like no body's business- but it threw a magnet and burned up it's first run.

If you like the feel that's great, but don't use that to define motor quality.

Jay you know I said "seems" you know I dont have a phd in ee or materials to truly say that is is high quality . Im just saying for 29 dollars it seems pretty nice.Since I got your attention let me ask you this. What advantage does one see with a y wind motor versus a delta wind?

Around 3.75 hp @ 25.2 volts for this little T600 okay that seems enough to push this hull. Now the right prop is what? This is what I got at my disposal:
            x642
            x645
            k51
            x457
            k57

Crab got some good runs on his cat with a H5017 so an x1750 octura? It seems monos like 4 series better though so Im leaning toward th k51.

I have gotten 140amps on 6s out of the t600 1400kv but make sure you cool it very well and don't go that hight for too long. And it can take 120 amps all day!

Ran it today with the k51 ran kinda wet but is was pretty quick. The motor was room temperature and the esc was cold the water flowed through the system nicely. you could see a nice small continuous stream,BUT one of my packs swelled? Only got one run so next time ill get a chance to adjust the strut and possibly prop up. The t600 turned the k51 with ease on 6 s. I may need to calculate some proper batteries for this system and install a cap bank.

Props under 50mm are too small to be very efficient on that large hull. Your swollen pack could be from:

                    - too high an amp draw for the pack C rating
                    - over-discharged the pack due to not fully charged, different capacity, etc.
                    - shi**y quality pack

Reporting "temperatures" is meaningless without including the run time. Reporting "room temperature" (calibrated thumb?) after running one minute is not too impressive. After ten minutes, it means a lot.

Are you running a gap between the drive dog and strut? I doesn't look like it in the pic..

When I had the 750 kv kb with the x457 on there it ran really stong but that was really a low rpm. I was kinda scared with this t 600 1400kv to just start with the 457. The k51 is all I had between the x457 and the X645. I also have a k57.Its loose in the photo Ryan, the struts just hangin there, but when I ran it had maybe a 1/8th inch gap. You think it need be more?New charger just arrived todayHow do you calculate the amp burst capability of the lipos, and others; anyone?

ps even though the kb's max amp draw aprox(95amps) is less than the t-600's (110amps) it didnt seem az big az the kv difference which was almost double so I thought the kb probably had a little more torque. Whats the physics behind it Jay?
