LOL. Indeed....if she dies right side up, I'm cooked!! However, in my experience with electrics, that is seldom the case as long as you are running enough capacity.
To be honest, I thought for sure the die hard racers would ridicule this idea (and they still might), but wouldn't it be nice to at least coast your boat to the middle of the course or at least out of the way of the fleet? How many of you have been run over??
There's nothing like throwing this little guy in the lake and knowing for sure it's coming back regardless of it's posture.
After several tests, here's how the rudder turned out.
Still can't figure out why the original reef racer rudder would not work. Has something to do with surface area I think? They are both at the same height.
That is so cool man now I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see a real blowover with the system saving the day! Gotta catch that on video for sure!

Just think if you flip it just before the finish of a race and cross the finish line up side down I wonder if some one would file a protest lol I would let you have the win
Old guy
I'll try to get the wife to shoot some video this weekend, but it's like pulling teeth!
Old guy - That's hilarious! I'm sure there would be protests....but who would everyone be talking about? The winner -or- the boat that finished upside down!
