That is cool! Are you using cowl locks? (I didn't see any) or are you just hoping the tape holds the hatch on during a blow over?

Here's another vid with a full run, blowover, and retrieval as requested! Disregard the wife's comments!

Thanks Jeepers. No cowl locks. It's very rare that I ever lose the tape.....even upon blowover (renfrew shinguard tape). The cowl of the pickle seems to be so well-rounded and low profile that it stays in place. I've rolled it, sunk it, flipped it, etc... never any water in the hull. In fact, there is another vid on youtube where I lost radio contact. It was at the bottom for at least 15 seconds at full power. Still no water in the hull. I think "flat tape" and "low profile cowl" help out here.

That worked perfectly! And you can even steer. I laughed so hard when I heard what your wife was saying. lol I've gotten all kinds of comments when I ask people to record, but that one's the winner!

Yeah, getting the wife to join in on boat activities is not easy. For the most part, we only get calm water early in the morning. Wasn't easy convincing her she had to get out of bed to take the vid!

ha! I was thinking along the same lines the other day. If I hit the 2nd prop while I'm moving, I'll get a "turbo" mode! I like it!

I've been working on a cowl that will package the system with a better mount and allow fitment onto any hull. I had to do a lot of research on vacuum forming, but I think my second attempt worked fairly well! I'm going to cut this one out to fit my Miss Vegas hull. The Vegas hull will also require some rework in the front. I just couldn't imagine having to rescue a boat anymore!

                        Dude that is awesome.

Does that mean you built a vacuum table? I would like to check that out sometime.

                        Later,
                        Mike

That is pretty sweet... We should hook up sometime and shoot the s**t, since we are down the street from each other. Learning others tips and tricks make this a great hobby!!!

                            Later,

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Mike - No doubt, we'll have to get together one of these days.

Amazing what you can do with an old aluminum drawer, a pancake griddle, and a shop vac!
