If you wanna find out where it went throw a mess of orange ping pong balls out right where you lost the boat and track them.

Don't forget to pick them up when your done.

I am going to take a walk out there today... with any luck I'll see it washed ashore somewhere... if not... well... I won't be surprised or disappointed. I knew the current was harsh and the wind was blowing away from shore, but had the rescue boat and my niece wanted to see it run. It was the most careful turn, just caught a wave the wrong way and flop. It was so surreal.

Mine flipped during a VERY slow turn last weekend and i was kinda like... huh??? But it was 5 feet from the seawall in lake. I had 2 jetskis, a padle boat and a 32 foot pontoon boat just incase i needed to retrive it tho . lol

But anyway that sucks! I would be crushed if it were mine. I really like the little thing!
Good luck on trying to find it!

            He he. Crushed.

I don't think the hull has been refined for handling. I don't know enough about the hull design to comment, but I'm sure if an expert looked at it, he'd say a few things should change. But... for a $150 toy boat... it did OK.

The only thing I really miss is my GPS. The batteries were the oldest lipos I have, which had already puffed a little... The strut was new though... and the prop. But I've lost a few of those to other things already... and I guess the GPS had seen better days... I revived it a few times, recovered it from salt water immersion and soldered the battery tabs... The hull was cracked in a few places... and the tail was cracked apart from the non-break away rudder... at least it wasn't new. =)

                    i feel your loss

:thumbupcurrently working my own crusher over.
used some 1/4inch brass tube inside the stock plastic tube to limit cable wip.
set the motor on low speed spinning the drive shaft with dog removed to file and emery cloth the shaft down to 3/16 to fit standard props, only took a few minutes.
glassed the stock motor mount just in case.
front of the strut needs sealing up to the plastic tube to keep the water out.
only had 4 runs so far but a fun quick boat

esc went pop this afternoon .1st run went a 100metres
not much left of the stock esc and a smelly mess inside the hull.spektrum servo still works but the Rx is gone.
                      time for upgrades me thinks.

you might be on to something there. an ESC scattershield.
if it wasnt for the wooden tray mine would of melted straight through the hull and it burnt most of the way through the wood
