yea the shaft is roughly 5mm...thought it was 3/16 but had to use 13/64 bit to make the prop fit....

    hey fighterca57,

why run two 4s packs in parallel? wont it be faster if you ran two 2s in series? i know less runtime but weigh less means faster?

Usually it means less lipo life... Boats pull quite a bit of steady amps. I'd rather have the extra weight (doesn't make much difference in speed) and more run time. I'm already going faster than the hull likes to go.

Well, the rudder finally cracked the rear of the hull. I knew it was only a matter of time since it does not have a break away.

I'll get some photos up later. Looks like it's time to replace the entire setup.

A fishing boat just pulled an 8' bull shark from the Inlet this week. I boat there often. Kayak, Powerboat and Model Boat. The inlet is Shark Bite Capitol of the world.

Had the strut too low, but got the COG about right and I think I'm about at the limit of the stock ESC. I couldn't hold the trigger WOT, but could come close. Think I generated some extra heat by running at 3/4 throttle most of the run.

Ran for 8.34 minutes w/2 old 4s 4k 20c Flightmax batteries. Top speed was 43.6, motor 150, ESC 150, Batts 110. I think using the metal x440 prop helps. It's got a solid launch and doesn't spin up, just goes!

Still running the 4mm cable system. I think she'll do 45+ w/stock setup if I can get it sorted.

had a chance to run my new setup today.

                            turnigy 180amp esc
                            tunigy b36-56 2600kv
                            2x turnigy 2s 30c 4000kv wired in series
                            x440 3blade

love the esc stays cool but motor gets too hot touch so im going to try out outrunners.

I almost hit my mark with the stock ESC/Motor... 48.7MPH w/440 prop.

I added a bit of negative angle to keep the nose down and sunk the strut lower than the stock strut will go. It was basically riding on the tail of the boat with just the strut in the water. Pretty cool.

The only problem is, it flipped on a low speed turn pretty far out in the ocean and the current took it out to sea. By the time I could get the rescue boat out, I couldn't see it any more. A guy offered me a life jacket, but no way, too far out and the sun was setting.

We looked until it was dark, but never did see it again. Think a shark ate it.

So... sadly... no more Surge Flusher.

I can say though, I did have it setup well and was starting to have some fun with it. I don't think I would buy another one though...
