yea that wire drive setup is very tempting but not very familiar with that setup. i see i would have to use smaller diameter stuffing tube correct? you guys happen to have pics of the wire drive setup?

well, tried using carpenter nail on each side of the prop but didnt really work out too good so i tried using longer thicker nails but still no luck. so i grabbed my micro fiber cloth and wrapped it around the prop and held it on my left hand and drilled it. use 13/64 drill bit fits awesome on the stock shaft. i did have a vise but didnt bother using it.

plastic props are easier to drill out tho...metal props are abit tricky. i guess the wire drive setup with 3/16" shaft would be nice.

Yea i am going to try it at work tomorrow with a 1 dollar hk prop to see I can do it strait. I have access to a drill press and a really nice mill so it might work out. I have tryed it with gears and i couldn't get it strait even using the mill!

tried most of the props hobby king sell and nothing beats the stock prop vs all the sizes they sell. wierd i had no problem drilling them out using a hand drill.

Yeah, I'm going to do an install on some soon, I can get the photos up. Typically there's no need to change the stuffing tube, but with the surge crusher, it doesn't have the right one from the get go, so needs one period.

Why what? There's quite a few statements above your post.

Why install wire drives? They don't do much good on the bench. Why take photos of the install? Someone might find it useful... Why doesn't the Surge Crusher come with a stuffing tube? Because is a really cheap Chinese knock off of a knock off... I'm surprised it holds water!

Why drill out a 4mm prop? The stock Surge Crusher comes with a 3/16" shaft.

Mine is 5mm. I have attempted with no luck to put on a 3/16 prop.
But! i drilled out the 4mm props with a lot of luck! They are very strait! I think i just saved some mula!

Ah, you know... I think you're right. The 440 I'm using is from the Osprey... It might be 5mm as well. Have to check on that.

Good runs today, the configuration on 4s, stock went 45mph for about 8 minutes.

It's getting closer to dialed in. Down to the final inch forward or back.

I was pleasantly surprised with the stock ESC/Motor today. I half expected a burn up.

                              Somewhere around 7" for 45mph.

6.5 is a blow over and 7.5 is nose heavy. Your setup may vary..
