I don't plan on gettin her wet until the decals get here............... ya right! It can get wet! main thing I want the clear coat to cure before too much action. I go get some pics of her in the sun - ahhhhhh.

Yes U spy, may be able to go out this afternoon, wanna see the Titan have a good long run. I fixed the rescue craft with a METAL pinion so back to reliable recovery. Need to test the Oberto too - since her latest surgery.

remember, I still have the graphics to add - Rod said they were being mailed today, so hopefully this weekend or shortly thereafter I will have finished product.

Here is the glow paint. Over this I dusted lightly with the metal flake Duplicolor, then the clear. I will probably add another couple layers of clear once the graphics go on... too many blemishes!

Dang, Dana, you got you some peepers!!! Thanks for the compliments! why yes, I filled in the deck at the transom, never liked that notch. AND I threw on some serious hardware - removed the inline and went offset monster rudder. Same bearingized strut, but big a$$ rudder -- just happened to have a chunk of aluminum sticking out where I had a rudder before that worked out ideal. Kinda wish the hardware were black like the inline, make it go away...." you didn't see annnnything"

Gonna slap some vinyl decals Rod the hydromaniac hooked me up with. Said they may go out in the post today with my freshly painted up mini xXx ----- ahhh can't wait.

btw your cooler just went out.... should be there by weekend

thanks jesse, thats excellent! will be looking in my mailbox =). i must say i also like it better with the flush transom as well. that's how i built mine. im interested in hearing if it makes any difference in performance... yours and mine look so similar, of coarse i built mine off the same plans you did hehe. funny thing you got rid of the inline set-up because i just got the exact same in-line set-up you were using in natural aluminum finish. now i can finally test fit hardware then paint =) did you not like the inline hardware? should i know anything about this hardware?

No the hardware is great! and if anything gives way in flex shaft system, you have a retainer. I loved it, thing was that at speeds above 40-45 she got twitchy, what I am trying to smooth out. I wanna see if this thing will do 50

Under 45 it is superb, great turning both ways, great water flow, more than enough turn and not too much rudder.. no great set up, I just want to try the offset thing now.

cool jerry. i just got the exact same inline hardware today =) my question is this.i am using .150 cable and i already installed 1/4 brass , because i want to use a teflon liner. problem is the strut is made for 7/32 tube, so the 1/4 brass does not slide into the strut, it just butts up to it. is this ok? or should i swap out for 7/32 brass without the liner? any thoughts? i figure i could just butt it up and put a piece of shrink tubing to hold the two together. this is my first ever build so im not to sure what to do at this point.

Im not a big time builder but have done some hydros, this to will be my first cat, just got a Genesis in the mail last week and buildinga 18.5 mystic cat at the same time so yeah i just dove in i gess but i would think it would be better for the brass to slip in the strut just a hair to cut down on vibration but seems to me if it were mine i would do the heat shrink like you said but i would make sure you could slide the teflon up into the strut but again thats just me....
