Alright.. I`m just putting up a few pics of some of the work I been doing. It`s not anything major. I built a battery holder, and took some measurements of the 4S 4000Mah Lipo batteries I would like to use. The white foam tucked in the sides represent the batteries... It's not 100% accurate, but it gives me an idea as to what I`m working with. Now, in the 1st Pic, I am NOT using that servo.. I will be using a Hitec HS-77BB Low Profile servo, with a Pull-Pull setup. I was going to put the battery on the side, but the boat began to list, so I`ll leave it in the middle.. The second pic is how I`ll place the battery held in with 3M Dual Loc Velcro.

Looking good my man! Remember don't get too carried away on the battery trays until you have the batteries in the boat for getting the correct COG. It's easy to get ambitious and hand cuff yourself sometimes. I hate tearing things out!

Thanks for the advice bro.. I had to rip a servo mount out because I got glue happy!! LOL.. It was hell to take that thing out... So I am going to take my time on this build.
        Thanks

Anytime. Take your time any enjoy the build. I like the construction process of boats more than I do running them.

Whats up builders.. Here's my boat masked and awaiting some paint. I did the masking myself, and will be spraying it myself seeing that I used to spray automobiles.. I'm gonna use House of Kolor paints on this one. I normally spray PPG paints, but I think I like the selection from HOK better. I sure hope ya like it.. Don't go too hard on me now...

Nice! What did you use for masking?
FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.

I used 3M painters tape because it not too tacky and easy to work with.

Well I finally got my servo for my rudder today, along with the flex push rod. Here's how it looks hooked up.

Thanks... It was a lot of work...!! I taped up the entire boat and used a stencil. I traced the design on the boat and I also did some of it free hand, then I just used a sharp blade and cut it out.....I'm gonna surprise my boating community.. Not revealing anything as to colors..

Well, I'm back again with an update... 1st, I sprayed the boat with the masking design, and it was a terrible looking design after I pulled off the masking tape. I didn't sand the boat before I sprayed it, so the paint was peeling right off.. I got some paint thinner and wiped the whole boat clean, then wet sanded with 400 grit sandpaper. Then I primed it..laid down some white, blue and a bit of gold. I masked it off, took out my tribal flames template and went to work... this is how it looks now.. I still have to wet sand it and clear it.! Let me know what you think so far..

looks mint! is that head of the river cat? also i would think an x440 or similar would be a better prop. it seems like the higher rpm motors like less pitch and lower rpm motors have more torque and like more pitch? not too sure. just my thoughts tho... nice paint btw. i spray ppg waterbourne these days. no voc's =)

Hi, I`m not too sure which hull this is.. It isn't the Apparition Hull either... Hmm good question. I do have the X440 prop as one of the props to get. Thanks for the advice. About waterbourne paints, I haven't sprayed them yet, but they are good cause of the no VOC's.
