    Another Catamaran Build!

So here I have my 1st Catamaran boat build ever.. Yep, so that makes me a Newbie. I got the Hull 32" from Ebay, it`s one of the Chinese hulls. The brushless motor is also from Ebay.. It`s a 2075Kv 8Turn. I'm gonna get a Turnigy 180A ESC to control this bad boy. For power, I'll be using two 4s Lipos ran in parallel. It has a 4mm prop shaft, but I put a 3/16 brass shim on it to run a slightly bigger prop. Now, I have no idea as to what size, pitch, diameter prop to run... Any info will be helpful... Thanks.

A safe starting point would be a good ole trusty Octura x642 IMHO.

Anytime bro. You will probably need to go bigger after testing the temps. This is just a good "all round" prop for many different boats.

Nicee.. I think the prop is the single most confusing thing for me.. Size, Pitch...but I'm sure I will be educated by many of you expert boat builders here....... Do you think my setup so far is good?

You are off to a good start. One thing I noticed was the water line on the portside and the battery pack on the starboard might get in the way of the "main batteries" Before you nail anything down semi-permanent check out your COG with all components in the boat. Ideally your COG or balance point will be somewhere around 28-33% from the back of the transom. On a 32" boat that translates into roughly 9"-10.5"

Absolutely.. I was looking at that as well... Everything can still be moved if need be.... But thanks again for the input.

do those water pickups come like that from the seller?....there must be a better way for making them aesthetically more pleasant.I don`t like how those hoses come arched all the way from the transom, sorry, but thats me.
Browse/search around here so you find a better looking alternative, same at OSE store.I`m also looking at buying me one of those cats soon, but just with hardware. How do you rate their fiberglass quality built?....Albert

Why do the motor wire connectors look backwards,,,shouldnt they have been solderd the other way arround??

I think that the "female bullets" are connected to the male's. Most of my motors were shipped this way, makes them harder to lose I guess.

I understand your question, but the wires are soldered the correct way... It looks backwards because I pushed the female connectors onto the wires so I don`t loose them.

I ordered the water pickups from another seller... When I did I sure thought they were gonna be smaller than that, but that`s the look I wanted... I may change it a bit so the arch isn't that big, but otherwise I think I'm gonna leave it like that. The hull build quality is very good to me. I think it could be a bit thicker for the bottom, but everything else looks squared away. Thanks for commenting.

Keep the pickups they will work just fine. Just make sure they are in the water flow so they function. I could not tell from the pics but they look a little shallow.
