It's a packaging issue from the factory. There's nothing to secure the hatch in shipping. The new one will be the same and Venom will deny they are having any issues with it. Then... you'll get a new one shipped in 3 months that will be the same... Then out of stock again... they are relying on time wasting to thwart off any pursuit. It's an old shoddy business tactic. Almost as bad as "I'll ask my supervisor".

It's a shame really. They have such a good opportunity to do enormous amounts of business and are wasting everybody's time instead.

Rum, you're right. Nobody cares what it looks like in the water. Just how fast it goes!

Better yet take off the front magnets put two peices off skinny tube pointing forward on the hatch, drill two holes in the lip of the hull for them to slip threw then get rid of the rear magnets and put twobolts screwing down into the hull then you can put a seal around the lip and never need to tape it again and never loose the hatch if it flips....

Was the stand included with the hull?

No it was not. It came with the RTR EKOS I bought this spring. It's a nice little stand. Not sure if they sell it separate or not.

You did! You got an EKOS!

BTW- Did your hull/hatch slip off in shipping?

I got lucky I guess. Mine arrived in perfect condition. My hatch was taped down during shipping.

Well, if I decide to go with the screamers in the Sprint Cat, the CC/Neu's and the T180's fit in the EKOS! The only worry is weight. It get's heavy. I don' t like how heavy and low my other EKOS is with less weight than this as the water line often covers the rear of the hatch when sitting still. I do have a lighter, smaller ESC/Motor setup, which might be the chosen route. Perhaps even a pair of lightweight Heli motors... Perhaps!

I'll mock up the other motor/ESC/Battery combo and see what the weight difference is... might be better to go lighter. That way I can fit the batteries in the sponson bellies.

When did you get yours? Was it in this "late june" batch or earlier?

Early May or somewhere around there. It's been sitting in the box for a while now. Don't get much time to play but enjoy the time I do.

Now that's what I like to hear. I hope you stick around this site. I personally love your postings and I will follow your builds one way or another. Plenty of other members feel the same way also. Are you going to make a decision on the actions of one member?

                              Enough said! STAY!

That's ancient history Chummer! I've accepted the invitation to stay and play!

Now to weigh the decision on the KOS. Big heavy power or light weight moderation. How far off are you on putting the 2200's in your KOS? Perhaps I'll follow an example.
