    Suggestions for an EKOS hull

I am looking for some suggestions for the EKOS hull. I have purchased the bare hull and I would like to get high 50's to 60 Mph out of it. At first I was thinking of a single drive cat but now I am considering twin power. I would like to run with a 4S setup because of the battery selection I already have.

Here is some of the ideas I was thinking of...

    Twin feigao 540XL's maybe 7XL or 8XL ????
    120 AMP ESC's ???
    Props ????

Another option would be a single drive...

Neu 1515 1Y (Not sure if it will fit this hull,,,anybody???)
    CC 240
    Prop???

Do you think this is achievable on 4S power either single of twin? Looking to here some feedback on twins or single setups.

Have a look at this build: It's the same hull as the KOS. Go twin for sure. (I'm building one and have one already, they are great!)

Yep, Twin 8XL's might be the way to go.

I have also been thinking about twin Neu Castle 1515 1y 2200KV on 4S, Any advice on that? A little more costly than the 8XL's but might be worth the extra cash. What kind of props do you think I could run? Do you think twin Hydra 120's would be O.K. or should I step up the ESC?

Would love some input on the above combo.

On a single set up using a 442, you would pull roughly 125A. Running a twin, Id guess youd be closer to 90-100A. I only read about the Neu motors so far as I do not own any yet, but I think you may be able to spin a larger prop. And at that point, Id only guess you would need a larger controller.

Dont use a 120 esc with the 1515 1y.Not enuf esc.Use a 240.I dont know about those other motors, but the 1y makes good power.I thought about putting it in my ekos as well. But the 120 esc with that motor gets way hot way fast. Not a matching pair.

Thanks for everyones input. Now all I have to do is make a decision on what combo I want, order up the parts and get building

Bet it would really move on twin C/C 2200's though.

I have seen the BJ with a 2300 ammo and the stock UL1 speed run many times without issues on a 440 prop and was just at 50 mph. Was very surprised the ESC held it but run after run and never an issue. This was on 4S too.

                        Ordered the C/C 2200's.

Most likely go with the Turnigy 180 ESC's, HOTR hardware and Jeff Wohlt wire drives.
