Silicone is still drying. I put it on pretty thick, so I guess it might take a bit...
Might be a good time to convert the bullets to 8mm. Think I'll go 8mm with everything 6s & up and 6.5mm with 3-4s and stay with the many dean many happy's for the small stuff.
I don't run both 4 and 6s in the same boats, so that should work out pretty good.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

What!
Where the heck do you run at, a toxic waste dump!!! Between the turtles and aluminum eating crud, you have serious issues man. Are they mutated snapping turtles?
What happened to the strut? Where you running the prop in the bottom muck throwing up a bunch of debris? That is weird, never saw that before. Looks like it has been sandblasted apart. But most of the wear is on the port side, thought the prop would have thrown muck up and hit on the starboard side more, definately weird. Looking at the middle strut part, looks more like a plasma cut!

It was acting funny, pulling hard, lost steering and sorta did circles coming in with a loud rattling sound, I thought it was caught on a twig, but must have been caught on a wire or something.
Prop and rudder were clean when they came in, just AFU.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

Ben, you have to run it in water, not on the street. Maybe you should play chess or something....Comment

Damn....glad to see the drive did not snap! Would have hated to lose that pretty prop..LOL.
Sorry, Ben. That sucks!! You certainly caught it on something metal. What is very odd is that it is on the wrong side of the rotation????Comment

If possible on any strut, one rule of thumb to take to heart is never run only one clamping screw. If loose it allows the strut to pivot on the one screw and change the angle which should we all know should be fixed or set. There appear to be two different props in those recent pictures of the strut and damage. Or one prop that had a bent tip and later leading edge damage. Doesnt matter as the prop is toast now.

Sharp eyes!
Jeff & John get the cookies.
Jeff, you're right, that is not the proper rotation/damage for it to be caused by rotation impact of that prop. But, it is prop damage. The wire drives on both boats were unaffected. =)
John, you're right. The prop in the other picture is the offending prop that caused all the above damage.
Sorry Alfa, it's no joke.
Here's the full story:
It was acting funny, pulling hard, lost steering and sorta did circles then flipped when the rudder control rod set screw fell out. I sent out my other cat to rescue, but caught it on the rudder of the flipped Genesis. While coming in with a loud rattling sound, I thought it was caught on a twig, but must have been caught on a wire or something. Turns out the prop was tearing up the other boats rudder setup and chunked two new props.

Hello
today i made my first run with the genesis twin.
Setup: 2x Scorpion 3026-1400
2x Turnigy 80 HV
1x Rockamp 7s 5000mah
Octura Props x442
Speed: 67,11 mph (108kmh)
Boat runs very good,
fast turns are no problem
next i will test 44,5 metal props and octura x447
I think a speed of 80 mph is no problem with the wright props.
At next time i make pictures and a video
greetings from germany
