Ok, You should mount a brass tube 5mm outside diameter between support and the rudder because the screw will damage the rudder, easy to do.

I' ve got the same Hopf rudder 120mm long is perfect regarding the lenght of the cat'

Running 6s was awesome! The 4mm cable didn't last long though. <see attached>

I ripped out the 4mm cable setup and replaced it with an 078 wire drive from Jeff Wohlt. Good stuff. Much better setup.

I'm having a big issue with the tail of the boat jumping out of the water and walking about 4-6 inches to the right and then catching in a cyclic fashion. It can only handle about 3/4 throttle. Wide open it will catch and flip.

Makes me wonder what the top speed will be when I get the handling sorted!

      Fun little boat.

It's not made for high rpm. This is the second one I've bent like this.

This guy on eBay reckons he got all the hardware to convert the Genesis to a twin drive, including stingers, motor-mounts and rudder... [email protected] . He is member profvalencic on eBay.

I have used 8s, but first I split the packs into a 4s2p configuration. (45mph)

Mudl ran 7S on the stock motor and esc and said it was crazy, but surley would not last. I guess he did it just to see what would happen. I think its now stripped and being built as twins.

I'm waiting on a new strut to do some more 6s runs. Can't wait to see what it will do when it hooks!

Did some good 6s runs today, too bad the GPS was in the KOS drifting to shore! This thing runs awesome with an m445 on 6s. Nice cool temps, high 50's to low 60's and about 8 minutes of run time on 2p. Good stuff. I'm lovin the Hydra/Neu combination so far.

Since the silicone seal worked so well on the Osprey, I decided to do the same to the Genesis. There's enough room for cowl locks, so I installed them and used something new instead of syran wrap. Removable 3M Magic Tape. It barely sticks and comes right off... so my hopes (this is an experiment) are that I'll be able to let the silicone dry and remove the cowl with the silicone attached and the removable tape will come with it...

                      We'll know in 48 hours!

Yeah, they are the ones from HOTR. Didn't see them on OSE. Would be a good item to carry IMO. =)

They are well built IMO and easy to install. I drill a pilot hole with the hatch installed (tape the paint) and then expand the lower with an auger to exactly the right size.

Drilling fiberglass is a risky task though. Drilling painted fiberglass is downright tricky sometimes.

Just an FYI though, they are a "permanent" install on the cowl, as they use 8mm one way push clips to secure themselves to the piece. They are not easily removable without breaking.

                                It worked!

The tape came off and stayed with the silicone! It's still drying, so leaving the tape on the hatch for a few days, but it worked!

                                Success!

The silicone "gasket" and cowl locks work on the Osprey too. Water tight.
