    Miss Vegas brushless conversion

I'm new to the forum and fairly new to boats. I had a miss budweser nitro that I could never get to run right and now I have a miss Vegas that I could never get to run so im converting to brushless. I ordered some stuff from hobby king that had good reviews. A hxt inrunner 2700 kv and a 120a aquatec esc from turnigy. My questions are
    - the esc I got says it can be programed with the tx but have read on here they don't come with instructions. So is it easy to program? Or do i need the USB program stick? It's backordered for 30 days so I didn't bother to order.

    - should I get a 3 fin prop? I have the stock size brass grim racer prop but have no idea how the different sizes make a differences.

Last question is the front turn fin on the right side. It's curved underneath the hull a lil bit but when I look at pics of them new there straight. So should I bend it back?

Thanks lookin forward to the answers

Yes possibly 4s if hobby king gets the ones i want in stock. But does that motor esc combo sound like a good plan?

I would get a larger motor.

don't bend it back... the bend helps suck the boat to the water during a turn.

I rebuilt one and ran a blackjack 1500kv motor and 45a esc on two 2s 5000 lipos with a x442 prop and only ran 29.8mph, dont no if that info helps at all,,, i had a stock 3blade ul1 prop on it first and couldnt get it on plane just kept nose diving...

That helps alot hydrojerry. Your kv rating is really low to just be running 14.8 volts. Im going to be running 14.8 with a 2700kv motor, you were getting a max of 22,200 rpm and i will be getting 40,000, twice the RPM plus they will be 150 amp packs a piece to ensure the motor will be getting all the amps it needs to run efficiently. I think it will work out ok. When i was ordering things for this project, i was looking at the UL-1 superior specs to see how it would compare to what i was going to get. So i just one upped the UL-1 specs a lil bit so i think i should have it under control. I'm going to put the battery packs on each side of the motor and get as close as i can to a balance if not giving a lil more weight to the right side of the boat. I think it should be ok.

40000 rpm is way to much for the hardware your running and that motor.

Something WILL blow up, and you don't want flex cable shards whipping around at 200mph.

That motor would be great for a smaller vessel on 3s though.

The 1500Kv motor should really be used on 5s sport or 6s for a race setup with that big hull.

As you can tell Jon im not good with the setups yet so i do have a 70a ul-1 esc but i was told the 2030motor and 150 esc would be good if i ran a small prop???
