Too bad I have a bunch tied up in the mount or I would just scrap the 580 all together. Its a good thing I listened to my "little voice" that said change that bearing NOW!If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

The 540's and the 580's are completly different. Yours should be okay. I think this was a freak accident. I actually like the way it performed. It pulled a "heavy" boat with a decent sized prop and was still under 105* after a four minute run.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

What temps are you guys seeing before these 580s let go?
Seems as though they are not much better than the KD580s?.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8sComment

I had about 3 short runs where the motor was nice and cool.
On the 4th run it just stopped, i managed to drive it back to me but it ran like if you had disconected one of the tre cables from the motor.
It was then pretty warm and the kevlar had fell off
I have sendt it back to OSE to see if they could talk to Feigao about warenty.Comment

Mine never stopped. It ran normal on the last run. Temps never got above 105* in humid Hawaii weather. The last run the rotor was over 150*If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Mines did not demag. The wrapping came off the rotor and took a wire or two from the stator. It was a pain in the a$$ to get the rotor out.
Rummy what was your setup when it did?If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment
