Pulse width modulation. From what I understand it's a little related to it's on/off pulsing of electricity to the motor. The higher the pwm the cooler the motor and hotter the esc and vise versa.

Thats 4 1515 castle monster motors ..... I just had to put some quality motors in it and feel much better about going fast now. The 580L was only dependable up to 35k. I will be very happy if these motors will push 60 with no heating issues on 4s. . Hopefully there will be enouph juice on 6s to go 80-90mph for just a pass or two, or three

I didn't want to set my hopes too high so I'm preparing myself not to be let down I'm sure they have a better power to weight ratio then the 580's and will turn 60k I think I will be happy with 5s , will see after 4s testing.

Would shortening motor leeds help with this ? Shorter the better ?

Just finished stripping the boat down for paint ! Going with a Ford blue and Chevy metalic sceem. Hardware will be getting a polish job too , also might anodize my water jackets green to match the Castle monsters.

I don't think that will do the same thing as PWM. You are correct tho, the shorter the better and bigger wire the better.
