Well, it would be nice to be able to rescue, may have to do some scouting to even find a halfway good spot anyway. I'll do some research and let you know.
Well sheiooot, found a puddle that wasn't frozed up and ..... had to give her a go.
Test run on 4S - forgot that I hadn't solved the rudder servo horn screw problem... We jimmied her in for a couple test laps. I am thinking I will be needing trim tabs.
She was at just under 30% COG, so that could be a variable, but betting that trim tabs will help in any account.
Glad you found some open water finally Jesse. The mini looks like it's going to run, but needs more room to really strut. The creek has come up 1 1/2 to 2 ft in the last week. Most of the rocks are submerged but all the good jumping waves aren't there right now. And it definitly is running faster. Might be headed to Billings this Weekend just in case you were
Billings could be an option... I will see and let you know. Where is a place in Billings that isn't flowing but open? What day were you thinking of goin? keep me posted.
Yes she needs more room for sure! But I must say that was a pretty ideal test tub; when servo horn came off I could easily walk around the shoreline and retrieve with no risk of loss! Also showed how quick she can turn. I am itching for our best pond in the world pond to thaw - hopefully in a couple weeks?
If you like, I can set you up one once I get this guy dialed. Just wait till I get her painted and riding in some open chop... you are gonna be sneaking into my garage to steal it!
I love the set up part; once I get rich, I may get only the cooliest most bitchin boats, set em up and get em painted ... then sell em off to my OFE buds for near cost.
