Paddy that tube that the push pull rod goes threw needs to be oiled at times. I put a little oil in it but it may need more sometime. I am going to design a fitting like the flex shafts have, that I been doing latley to take care of this.

Hope you do not mind hear is the most up dated bracket to show.

Each time I build another one of the boats in the "Lift Master" series, I have to hand cut a new rear bracket. This bracket changes from build to build because of an impatient customer who rushed me (He was a local friend) and I had to sell the originals bracket to him and get the job done faster. So my original "Spirit of the Eagle" the boat that started the series does not have its bracket. Not a big deal some day I will build another to keep the boat intact. What does happen it the bracket gets better and better. This is the latest one for this boat.

And Simon if you want one it only takes 2 or 3 month, if you want fancy paint add a week or two. Paddy wanted me to take it out and test it and I had to wait for the L.A. SAW's that is only once a year. That added 9 months on to the build

Randy I appreciate any input you add to this thread. Thanks for the info about the rudder linkage. I will oil it regularly.

Awsome!! I always dug BBY hardware.

Mr. Naylor I don't mean this to be pushy or a jerk or anything like that but some day could you put up a few pictures on your web page? Maybe a link to these photos? The ones on your website don't do your hardware justice.

That is what the Bulletin board is all about. But I am thinking about doing just that. This is the slow time of the year for me and I can not aford the extra cost right now.

          Thanks Paddy

I am adicted to the boards I have been not able to get any work done today.

My first test today and it ended in disaster. A broken wire from the battery to the receiver left me with no control over the boat and as you can see from the video the boat disappeared around the back of the island and hit a mud bank. No major damage thank goodness.
Yes I do have a fail safe built into my radio and yes due to my rush to run the boat I forgot to set it.
You can hear the motor was not much over idle and it gave me 60.7 kph on 4s1p so going on the speed for revs basis it is looking promising.
Please excuse my potty mouth on the video but I did not know what the outcome was going to be at the time.

DOH, sorry to hear that man, but least theres no major injury, it must be a strong hull!

Like they say Matt "what does not kill us makes us stronger". A bit of epoxy and it will be ready to go again.
I have to agree about the strength of the hull. I could hear the thud as it hit the bank but could not see the boat because of the island. I was expecting worse but 5 minutes work will have it ready to go.

Paddy, sorry to hear aboutthe first run, but I'm glad the boat was relatively unscathed. I thought you were pretty well restrained on the video, I reckon I would have gone off my brain!

Looking forward to a video of your next run, I'm sure it will go far better!

Potty mouth? I think that was the most restrained reaction any grow man could have. Great to hear no major damage!

Paddy I would have had about 5 minutes of bleeped audio - glad to hear it's not to bad.

All fixed now Chuck. The only damage was that the epoxy that held the sponsons to the boom let go on the left side. That is not a bad thing as it is far better than breaking some of the CF. A little white paint over the top of the repair and no one will ever know.
Rain today so I think there will be no testing. A good day for a few "Go Fast" stickers to be added

Yeah Matt I have done my time racing in the rain. That was in Karts though. Spray coming off other peoples tyres, poor vision due to rain on the visor, wet a$$ and a slippery track. Oh what fun. I love my racing cars, bikes and karts but nothing beats an FE boat for thrills.
