Or a piece of pieces Jan

Working on the boat now and doing some of the things I should have done before I went to the lake yesterday. I took the 36 MHz receiver out and put a 2.4 GHz one in its place. Sponson is glued on and battery pack repaired.

      Set the Fail-Safe!!!

Glad to know there is still a beautiful boat in your hands Paddy. I know its hard when your going out to the lake and its the first run. Now you know the bittersweet consiquences.
Live and learn my friend. Man I agree with Egneg on that one, the video would have been deleted from Youtube for language.......and your the Pottymouth

Glad it wasn't hurt. Come on up to Legg one of these years and I'll introduce you to the boat eating tree on the island.

Looking forward to the next video!!!

My hart just sank looking at the video, I have had that happen with other boats over the years good thing you have a mud bank. The Concrete at heather farms are killer.

I have been luckey Brian I have never hit the tree, been on the mud bank a bit!

                Mr. Naylor I am impressed

I took the rigger for its second trip to the lake. The speed was 107 kph or 66.49 mph. This is the fastest any of my boats have ever been on the second trip out. In fact my Mr. Krabs has only gone 2 kph faster on the same M545 prop after a lot of testing. My runs this morning were not at full throttle and that makes me excited. They were very short runs as I was getting some confidence back in my radio after Thursdays incident.

                Video...

No video of the actual run here as it was raining and I am not leaving my Nokia out in the rain for anyone.

What percent throttle would you guess you were hitting? That's impessive for it's First real run.

                    Teach,
at a guess I think it would be about 3/4 throttle and the runs about 80 meters. The M545 prop will not take it to the speeds I want to go to but it is a prop that gave me the best speed with Mr Krabs so it is a know quantity so to speak. That prop is giving me a bit of a comparison between Randy's SAW rigger and the Mr. Krabs boat. I did not want to start out on the fast prop. I have never been past 75 mph so I have some nervous times ahead.

What we need to do is to clone Randy so he can make more boats

That is great I know the boat is good to 98 MPH it has gone that fast so far.

I do need a clone. Today I needed to service my computer and it took me all after noon but it works great with Dell's help.

What motor are you running? The motor I sold you went 98 in his sport Hydro. I think it was running a 2047 that was De tongued and back cut. You will get there. Have your prop guy set one up for you and you should be over 100MPH

It rained hear today also. I went in to the store to buy a vacuum filter come out and it was sprinkling.

                        Randy,
Thanks for your information. I will get 3 of those props for my prop guy (Andym) and he can do them all slightly different
I have changed nothing on the boat. It is as you packaged it.
                        Setup is...
                        Neu 1521 0.5y, Elite 4s1p, CC Hydra 240, M545 prop.
I am not sure if the Hydra 240 is up to the job but I do have a YGE Navy 200 there if the Hydra 240 fails. I should go 4s2p also I think but I am just getting used to the handling of the boat at the moment.

I think the 240 LV could do it. Brian had a 360 special made with a 240 and a 120 stacked on top. Brian said the motor was a amp hog. If it is too much the first thing you will see is thurmaling and a cap bard will help. I have been making a big one. for my boats. Any one with 1/2 a brain can make one. This will help when you are turning the boat around. I have ten 1000mf caps at 35v. I can build one for you if you have no one to do it. The one in the picture is a 8 cap board.

I usually rub my hydro's sponsons on Jan's head before a run; good for at least 7-8 mph

So if he comes to Clorado next August is he going to get made if I rub his head raw?

Jans head would make anything go faster. I guess you have to wear sunglasses when he is at the lake to stop the reflection.
My boat on your bed explains something... I was wondering why there was a roll of $100 bills inside when it arrived

Randy thanks for the advice about the caps. I have a friend who teaches electronics. I might put our friendship to the test but if that fails I will give you a shout.
