Not a big improvement but I think it would have gone above 130 kph if I had set the under voltage cut off a little better. This speed came on just the first half of my second run and the battery was not at optimum temp. I moves me a little closer to my 80 mph goal.
Randy for your information at almost 80 mph the boat is traveling very stable and I could not ask for anything to be better. I told you when I first ordered the boat I wanted a boat that would do 100 mph but I would be happy with 80 mph. I am so close to 80 now and I know it will go past that with the present setup. I still have changed nothing as far as setup goes. It is still as it came out of the box. I just added the battery, esc and prop and away it went. Anyone that buys one of these boats is going to be a happy camper for sure.

Thanks for that Randy.
I will order 2 more 2040's and ask him to have a play with them. What timing would you run on that 0.5y motor?
I would step it up a to race or 10 to 14 degrees as long as turns as eazy for you and it did for me. The 2047 pitched a little and the second one pitched more if it will pull it. Becareful of over heating while at slow speeds with the hot timing. The Germans use to walk around the SAW pits spouting TWO BEEP! TWO BEEP!

Has it been de lifted and detounged? If so it can be pitched a little too.
The prop Paddy is running has not been detounged yet, wanted to see how it spun up. I did pitch her up a tad and due to the spoon rolled the edge just a tad. I have two more coming, one will get the full monty and the other the works minus taking the lift out. The cupping and rolling will remove some lift but not as much as the back cutting will.
Cheers and thanks for the advise
As stated above the rigger done 128 kph this morning. It is only 1 kph faster than it's fastest before but when you consider it was on the 1521 1D motor and not the 1521 0.5y motor it is a reasonable step forward. My YGE esc ate up my 1521 0.5y and a 1527 1D. That is a long story but to keep it short there was way too much advance and I will not use that esc again until I get the programming card. The price you pay for a YGE the card should come with them. I have to be happy with a new best speed and I will not let the YGE thing spoil my day.
Thanks again to Randy for the boat and Andym for the props.

It has taken a while to get to 80 mph but the boat finally made it. Yesterday I bolted the old 1521 0.5Y back in the hull. My YGE controller had done a job on this motor a few weeks ago and there is some damage inside but the motor appeared to bench test OK so I thought I would give it another shot in the hull.
First run was 127
Second run was 127 and I was feeling a bit dejected.
Third run was 130 and a big smile came on my face.
Fourth run was 132 and the smile just got bigger.
When I ordered the boat from Randy I told him I wanted a boat that would do 100 mph but I would be really happy if I only ever got it to 80 mph. Randy has given me a boat that has given me 80+ mph and I have no doubt it will do 100 mph in the future.
A big thank you to Randy for such a great boat and to Andym for his great props.
Randy the boat is still riding like it is on rails and has no bad habits.
Andy I still have those other 2 props to test yet before we move on to the next stage.
