I sold a lot of toys to save for this. It's going to be a replica of the Aqua-Mania G3 race boat.
Not looking to break any speed records........yet!
I need suggestions on set ups. I want to keep it reliable and fun with speeds in the 40's.
This is what I was thinking:
Feigao 540 12L 2,159 RPM each
150A ESC
3-4s each motor.
This should be fun!

I even bought the decal set for MHZ for Aqua-Maina. When the boat arrived MHZ posted and option for custom paint for the boat in the Aqua-Mania colors!

Top notch and peerrrrrty!
If I were you I would run XL motors like the 9Xl on 4S running a L&R 442 props
Good set up wihout stressing anything.
Xls will work less and have more mass.Comment

What will that set up do to acceleration off the line?
I don't want the boat to go 3ft vertical when I touch the throttle. Is it possible to have scale acceleration before taking flight?Comment

Tom I'm running twin 8xls in my toysport Jolly - it 34 inches and does not pull the nose up!
Twin 8 xls, 150 Etti's with cap banks added, x442's L & R and Spektrum radio I've hit 51 but running in the high 40's mostly
Oh yeah Hyperion G3 4S Lipo to each!We did it with a Bang!

Sorry for the dumb questions but I'm new to the FE builds.. What are the extra caps needed for on the ESC?
What would the downside be to running 12L's instead of 8xl's?
The Mystic is pretty true to scale, thus it's really narrow. I'm concerned about fitting 8s inside.Comment

If you have an ETTI esc these are the caps, but they should work with any other brand esc. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=etti-e035-lv
