So Tom, are you selling the decal set, as per your 3rd post? Are they vinyl cut?

Hi westbeach,
Yes, they are vinyl cut. I think I'll hang on to them for now. I didn't realize they were of such good quality until I opened them. I think I paid $100 for them and they seem to be worth it. I haven't decided if I'll have it painted yet. Shipping it back to MHZ for custom paint seems a little crazy but I still have to paint it silver and black for the decals.Comment

I hope everyone had a Merrry Christmas. The wife bought me a Blade CX3!(suggestion from my son). So now I have a chase chopter for the Mystic!
Good question Tuslow1, I believe it's 25mm which would fit a 540 size. Shirley from MHZ suggested twin AMMO 36-40 with 3900kV which have 25mm. I'll take a mesurement when I get home and let you know. Now that Christmas is over it's time to get back to this if I want it running by spring. Getting some snow hear so it's hard to stay focused with the snomobiles sitting in the garage!Comment

I have fitted vinals to cars before now and used water with a tiny bit of washing up liquid. This will let you slid the graphic into place and use an old credit card over the surface (working from the centre out) to push out all the water and air. Use planty of water too, I might run off so have a friend near by to keep it wet. After all the water is out and the graphic is down, you might still have a few air bubbles under it, just use a pin to pearc the vinal in the centre of the bubble and push out the air from the out-side going in to the hole you made with the pin.Hi Tom,
These are nice quality Vinyl and will be "laminated with <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='application tape';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://jpkserver.info/?v=4%2E03&ss=application+tape">application tape</a>" if I can figure out how to do it with out messing it up!
Good luck, but if you can.. Try it out with scrap first......HPR C-5009, Riptide48, PaynPak 1/12, Miss Budweiser 1/8 Hydro, Miss Freya (own design 1/8 Hydro), HOR 32, Twin 380 HOR 32, Magin oneComment

Well I finally ordered the 2nd motor from Steven. The only thing left is some odds and ends and my ESC's. I need to get back on focus with this project. My son has told me we have to get the boat painted instead of using decals so I decided to call the Crew chief and paint shop for the Aqua-Mania G3 race team. Much to my suprise, they just finished painting the MHZ 72" Mystic for one of the owner/driver! He told me they definitly can do it and can even make some fake exhust outlets for the turbines! Talk about motivation
I am heading over to the shop this week to take a look at the 72" job. Do you think I should get the drives on and remove them before I have them paint it? I was thinking of taking the hull over this week and dropping it off. I'm still to busy with work and snowmobiling to dedicate time for this build but I want to take advantage of this opportunity.
Another question is flush water pickups. Has anyone used the ones in the picture? It would keep things a little more scale but I would hate to have issues with them or problems installing them.Attached FilesComment
